i’m an adjacent lover and fan of things. if we’re close and you keep showing or telling me about something, eventually i’ll look into it and i may not watch/listen/read it (and if do then i wont finish) but i will engage with it as if i have. i’ve only seen maybe 6 agents of shields episodes, most of them for the maria hill cameos but like i love melinda may and philinda because if you show me a good ass edit i will become curious and i am easily entertained so now i love melinda may and philinda. a few days ago, i randomly remembered this. have i watched 28382 youtube videos and tiktok edits? yes. have i researched and watched specific parts of episodes for lore? absolutely. have i read fanfic across ao3, wattpad, and ffnet? well yes. will i actually watch the show? no. it’s clearly not from lack of interest, as i’ve gotten older i realize i just don’t enjoy watching television a lot, it has to be very specific circumstances and because im traumatized from 7 season shows specifically, that’s for another post tho. if AOS were a 7 movie franchise i would be able to recite the plot forward and back, and tell you everything, but alas.
im so serious too like there 2 philinda fanfics i’ve been rereading since i randomly remembered this and i know exactly how they end yet, they feel so new every time. last time i reread them was yesterday and ill probably read again today. anyway, be an adjacent lover to your friends interests, it’s one of my favorite way to love my friends or don’t, it’s very fun for me tho and my ao3 history
