A collage made up of rings of torn paper in pink, purple, yellow, and black floral patterns. The frame has a vintage floral design with a gold border.
I finally finished this framed collage after weeks of procrastination. I’m having trouble finishing any of my projects because it always feels like I’m running out of time. For this piece I thought it would be interesting to make an artwork to match this frame that I found. I think this is the first time I’ve actually liked my artwork framed, because it’s actually a part of the artwork instead of isolating it or placing it on a pillar
A painted box against a floral background. The box has a Luna moth on it, with a moon above it and two eyes underneath it’s wings. The background is blue and starry.
Art that I actually finished instead of pushing it off and forgetting about it! I’m decorating all the boxes in my room that I’m not a fan of. This one used to have a butterfly on it, but it got an upgrade
An abstract painting of a maquette, which is shown on the right. The painting depicts a geometric object in different shades of green, against a pink background. It is surrounded by warm-coloured spheres and blue tendrils, which curl around the geometric object. The maquette on the right is made from parts of an old discman, as well as assorted scrap metal, wire and beads.
Another giant uni painting. This one is so big it doesn’t fit on my wall. I loved the assignments that we were given, but there were too many giant art pieces to fit into one tiny dorm room
A black and white ink painting of a figure falling towards a chasm full of eyes and teeth. The clouds above are stormy, and the paint drips down the canvas from the clouds.
The King has fallen
A colour-blocked portrait of a woman, who is looking towards the viewer. Her hair and skin are made up of shades of red and purple. She is outlined by a blue aura which fades into a red background.
A portrait from my first semester at uni. She is haunted, carries a permanent sense of déjà vu, and watches over me while I sleep. Her name is Jessica
Two photos showing different angles of an altar: a gold coloured fold-out mirror with three panels and a silver dish beneath it. The dish is full of stones, and drawstring bags full of rocks. The mirrors are surrounded by jewelry, dozens of glass bottles, and books.
This is the altar I’ve managed to set up so far. My room is pretty messy, but I’m happy with the progress so far. Almost everything at my altar is thrifted or found or made by me, and it displays a few of my collections.
An abstract collage with a white ring within a black ring, on a rainbow background.
I made a really abstract self portrait: the black ring represents asexuality, the white ring represents aromanticism, and the background represents my understanding of my gender. I don’t do abstract self portraits often but it was nice to represent aspects of myself as they felt, on paper
A painting of multiple rainbow rings stacked inside each other on top of a dry brushed rainbow background.
I’ve been painting to cope with the new lows my mental health is hitting, so now that my newly developed fear of technology is dwindling, hopefully I’ll be able to actually post some of it
A fabric painting on a light yellow t-shirt of a 3 faced medusa. Each of the faces, and the places where they overlap, are different colours of the rgb colour model. The eyes are spiraling.
A queen of hearts playing card that has been cut and painted to include the asexual flag and aromantic flag as a border. The queen at the top has eyes but no mouth, and the queen at the bottom has a mouth but no eyes. Spades replace the inner set of hearts and the border says “Queer”.
Happy Pride/Wrath month
A digital drawing of a faceless girl with short hair, black heeled boots, bi flag socks, black shorts, a black shirt with an image of an eye that says “Listen to me”, and an eye necklace. Caption: Self Portrait
