Just once, I'd like to feel like someone's top priority. Is that so much to ask?

Being both soft and strong is a combination very few have mastered.

I think it’s important for us all to be alone for awhile. Fall apart. Learn. Discover. Recreate. It’s amazing how much you learn about yourself in those quiet hours of the morning - you know, the ones that try to tear you down and send you back to square one. How much you learn about yourself when you only have yourself to fall back on. To depend on. To build yourself back up.
Sometimes, we need to shatter into a million pieces so we can put them back into something new, something better, something grander than we ever imagined things could be. Sometimes, it’s okay to admit we aren’t okay - the only way to fix something is to admit it’s broken, right?
This year has been a whirlwind of change, breakdowns, and self-discovery. A lot of times I’ve felt more like a ghost simply observing and going through the motions, but sometimes the best way to learn is to simply watch and listen rather than do and talk. Misery loves company, but you just have to hope that things will fall back together the right way in the right time - they always do.
