āif itās toxic, let it breathe elsewhere. stop waiting for bad love to feel good again. stop waiting for bad love to taste sweet. empathy wonāt change stone into gold. time wonāt change poison into honey.ā

āBefore you speak, ask yourself: is it kind, is it necessary, is it true, does it improve on the silence?ā

Grief was what you owed the dead for the necessary crime of living on without them.

Everyday since that bad thing happened, Iāve been practicing Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā a spell: how to disappear from yourself, within yourself.

It's what you wanted...right?
I wish I could sit and have one last conversation with everyone I've lost. Sit at a table and really let them know how much I loved them and how honored I was to have them in my life. Give them one last big hug, one last kiss. Cherish that moment. Instead you get the random last moment where you were having some type of small talk. Never thinking that you'd blink and they would be gone. In an instant. I hope you could tell how much I loved you when I'd say it, in the smile and hugs. And I hope you left this earth never second guessing how much you were loved and appreciated. You will always be missed and loved.
Was it harder to die, or harder to be the one who survived?
Ruta Sepetys,Ā Between Shades of Gray (via wordsnquotes)
If you donāt let it out, the grief becomes a scream trapped inside your soul, a constant cry in the dark, a sob you can never release. So scream, shout, cry, the way the sky does with thunder and lightning and rainā¦for it knows it is being cleansed, it knows that itās storm is the only way to release the pain.
Nikita Gill (via meanwhilepoetry)
Those we love never truly leave us⦠There are things that death cannot touch.
J.K. Rowling,Ā Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (via wordsnquotes)
I want to be a passenger in your car again and shut my eyes while you sit at the wheel, awake and assured in your own private world, seeing all the lines on the road ahead, down a long stretch of empty highway without any other faces in sight. I want to be a passenger in your car again and put my life back in your hands.
Michael Miller,Ā āDecemberā (via oofpoetry)
