The First Sign Hair Clip is designed to be worn on clothing or in the hair. At the first sign of danger, while connected to a mobile app, it is able to call for help . It is equipped with embedded accelerometer and gyroscope.
The Pod and App have advanced software and sensors to automatically detect many violent assaults or medical emergencies. Pod and app together have seven Triggers-
Assault Alert - with this feature, a head injury is automatically detected when worn in a headband. On the other hand, when worn in the wristband, it automatically triggers the alarm when blocking or returning strikes during an assault.
Fall Alert - It automatically detects a fall when the pod is worn as a pendant, wristband, or clip with Fall Alert active.
Panic Button - the Pod can always be manually activated with a push of a button and is best used this way as a keychain.
Alert Button Mode - the alarm will activate when you release your touch on the alert button.
Gesture Mode - this mode displays a blank screen and will be activated when the phone is quickly shaken or if the phone is dropped
Check-In Mode - In this mode you can start a countdown timer. The alarm is activated if you do not check-in within the amount of time given or if the phone is dropped.
once an attack or emergency is sensed, the Hair Clip and the pod, which are connected to a mobile device via Bluetooth, initiates collecting information from the device’s camera and GPS. It also uses the user’s device to issue the following from its speakers: “evidence has been collected and help is on the way”.
These devices are targeted at the safety of an individual. It does meet the problem solution to a great extent. As they explain it, no one will dare to attack when the person picture is taken, audio is recorded and constant alert message is beeped from the phone. Their extended system offers a monitoring system too.
