Hi! So I really love the xeno theme of yours and Im trying to get the 6 optional custom links to work but nothings showing up on the blog once I make my pages??? Im not sure what Im doing wrong and really want to use this theme honestly

Hi, thank you so much for using my theme! Xeno does not support pages, you have to enter the URLs using the customization options. If you’re trying to link to a page on your blog, you don’t have to enter the full URL into the field. You can just put “/about” or whatever the end of the page’s URL is, and it will automatically add it to the end of your blog URL. Sorry about that!

tumblr implemented on-blog advertising, which is why blog theme html keeps getting messed up.

To shut it off:

Click the ‘person’ icon in the top right

Select ‘Settings’

Select your blog from the column on the right

Scroll down to the ‘Advertising’ section

Shut that shit off.

You have to do it for all blogs individually, including side blogs.

hello! i really love love love your raspberry theme but i was wondering if there's any way i could stretch the background image to full? my image is too small and repeating it looks very awkward D:

I have nooo idea when this was sent as I’ve just come back from a two year hiatus. But yes there is a way! You’ll have to go into the code and find:

background:{color:background} url(’{image:background}’) fixed;

and REMOVE this. The easiest way would probably just be to copy & paste that into Ctrl+F. Don’t remove anything else, just exactly what I put here. Then directly below paste this:

html {background: url(’{image:background}’) no-repeat center center fixed; -webkit-background-size: cover; -moz-background-size: cover; -o-background-size: cover; background-size: cover;}

Then save it and refresh the page, and you should be able to upload your background image the same way you did before.

Fonts I overuse/love and should use more/enjoy seeing other people use. A lot of people seem to be doing font packs, and so here. I still suck at knowing when to use any of these fonts, but maybe someone out there will like this. I mostly made it for myself, because I tend to use a font, love it, and then promptly forget the name of it. That’s why there are some fonts here that you should definitely have on your computer already (so I won’t link to a download for them). Anyway, hope y’all enjoy!

TYPOGRAPHY RESOURCE & CREDIT POST

One of the most important things I’ve learned from researching typography during my digital art class is this: font design is hard as balls, and if any of those designers saw the way I’ve superimposed their hard work across Batman’s face in a less-than-skilled-manner, they would probably cry. The links in this post should cover all the fonts I’ve used in past graphics and any future graphics.

Just a friendly reminder: graphics are like evolution—sometimes you throw a bunch of cool shit together and get something awesome like a platypus, and other times you get an ugly slimy blind undersea creature that eats poop. Using a good font doesn’t necessarily mean you will get a platypus.
