(Just make a eulogy for yourself)
She told me once that in funeral, people talk about the dead as if he/she was the KINDEST PERSON that lived. She said that, “In every funeral, there is always one person who will say, “Naku nung nabubuhay ‘yan? Napakabait na tao n‘yan!”
So now, I know that she will not be impressed if we will talk about how kind she was when she was still living but rather, she want me to tell you how BADASS she was.
JOKE. She wasn’t badass; she described herself as the most boring person you would’ve ever met.
Her typical routine was: She wakes up. Do her things. Goes outside IF NECESSARY. Interact with people if she’s on her mood. Watch nonsense videos. Then go back to sleep. That was her life.
She would tell me that she is so bored of her life, but at the back of that boredom, carved a big smile. She is happy and joyful.
She did the most boring things she knew. But, she did it with heart and she did it for the Lord. She always praises the Lord for his gifts of mercy and grace to her. She would say that she’s weak but she had a strong God.
But her boring life still wounded her. But the love she knew always healed her. She was in pain, but she fought—she loved. I found some of these words from her blog: “Love is the only thing in this world that can cover up all pain but can make someone feel marvelous again, enough to keep himself/herself alive and living. It is love that can endure and appreciate pain; the only thing in the universe that does not hurt.”
When talking about love she would’ve always say: “You know Christ? That’s him. That’s love.”
Indeed, she had a boring life, well lived.
Wherever you are, I hope it bores you there.
I love you, for you lived, before you die. I’ll follow, but as what you have requested, I will live first.
