“I do.” [Eggo]

He wasn’t all too shocked when the minister told him to go first. He was half-prepared. He hadn’t prepared an actual speech, knowing the moment it was his turn to talk, he’d mess it all up. It was even worse without a pre-written script, because he had no idea how to start. Plus, the moment he turned to face her, any thought he had left his mind. It was nearly silent, and that made him even more nervous. He took a deep breath and took Harmony’s hand in his hands. He could do it.
“If you asked me a year and half ago if I thought I would be here, getting married at 18, with a daughter, I would’ve laughed in your face.” He chuckled. “I’m going to try to make this brief, but knowing me that I won’t happen.” He laughed, hearing a few laughs in the crowd. He took a deep breath before continuing. “A year and half ago, you came back, Harmony. And I know we had a horrible past that you don’t exactly remember, but I don’t dwell on it anymore. I remember not trusting you at first, but you were patient and didn’t force me. I still remember our first kiss in the kitchens. I had no idea what to do. I hadn’t been kissed before. And as cliche and ironic as it sounds, it was actually magical. Ever since then, really, I couldn’t stop the feelings. I still thank Aoife for basically making me do something that made me happy; otherwise I wouldn’t have asked you out and we wouldn’t be here today. I also still vividly remember the day you told me you were pregnant. It took me a moment to register it because I was 17……I wasn’t even sure I was going to be alive the next day due to the war, and I was going to be a dad. But I was so excited, really. I wanted to be a father, and I got my wish. And then the day you gave birth to Melody, I cried. I did. You probably heard me. I couldn’t help it. I had waited months and months for her, and then she was there. And she’s so beautiful. She gets it from you, as much as you like to protest otherwise. I thank whoever blessed me with both of you. My beautiful girls. Now, that wasn’t brief, but I’ll just wrap it up. I love you so much, Harmony. I love everything about you; your smile, your laugh, your mannerisms; everything. You’ve made me the happiest man, in more ways than one. And I can’t wait to make you my wife and spend the rest of my life with you.”
When Eoghan didn’t speak at first she was starting to get worried and scared, but as soon as he started talking, her nerves went down. As he continued speak she felt tears begin to surface and she was trying so hard to not let them. SHe didn’t want Suttons hard work to go to waste. She quickly wiped her eyes, carefully to not smudge the eye make up too much.
“Harmony, it is now your turn to recite your vows.” The Minister told her and Harmony nodded. Looking at Eoghan,s he took a deep breath, trying to process every thought that was just going through he rhead because she just couldnt’t spout out a word. “To be honest, a year and a half ago... I did’t know who you were... but the moment I saw you... something in me was just..goig off. I can’t explain it, but I felt drawn to you, like my being yearned for yours and my heart was reaching out for yours no matter how much you tried to get rid of me...” She started. “I didn’t remember you in my head, but... I firmly believe that my heart and soul remembered you, and to me that is all that maters because if they didn’t... I honestly don’t think we would not be here today. We wouldn’t be starting th first day of the rest our lives, and we wouldn’t have such a perfect little girl. I am so grateful that you gave me a chance that I am sure in the past I didn’t deserve.” She continued on. “I was honestly cannot describe how much I love you in words, I don’t even think I could in actions...so I promise from this day on, that I will make it my mission for every single day I try and show you how much I love you in hopes that one day you will know. Hoping that one day y9ou will know just how much I love your smile...how much I love your eyes...how much I love your hands, how much I love your arms and how safe they make me feel. HOw much I love hearing your laugh, how much I enjoy just watching you sleep, epspecially with Melody in your arms... I hope for you to know one day just how much you mean to me, and how much I love you because... I fear that I just might be able to do that. I love you soo much and I can’t wit until you’re my husband and we can start forever together.”
“I do.” [Eggo]

Everything else was blurry to him except for Harmony. He couldn’t focus on anything else. It felt like forever, watching her walk down the aisle. As much as he wanted to run halfway and meet up with her, he stayed put. The smile on his face would not go away, as much as he tried, and if there wasn’t a legitimate reason for him to be smiling, he’d probably be creeping some people out.
And then she was there, up at the altar, with him. He immediately grabs her hand, though he wishes he could do so much more. He smiles at her, and he hope she sees how happy he is, even though the tears are still in his eyes. He rather not wait through the whole ceremony, and the vows; he wanted to call her his wife now. But, so much preparation had gone into it, he knew he couldn’t rush through it. He held Harmony’s tighter as he turned towards the minister.
What nerves Harmony had were gone instantly when Eoghan grabbed her hand, and she instantly felt at ease. Biting the inside of her cheek, she looked at Eoghan and smiled at him, she just couldn’t help the smile on her face because she was just so happy that she was finally here. That they were finally here, standing before each other about to get married. After everything that had happened in the past year and a half... it all led up to this moment and Harmony couldn’t be any happier.
“We are gathered her today to witness the holy matrimony of Eoghan McGuinness and Harmony Edwards” The minister started and Harmony felt her heart begin to speed up. As he continued to speak, Harmony felt her throat begin to swell up and close and it was starting to get hard for her to breath. She felt her hands tremble a litle and she tried to take deep breaths. Inhale through the nose and exhale through the lips - she did this as quiet as she could. “The couple has requested to recite their own vows.”He announced before looking at Eoghan. “Eoghan, why don’t you start.”
“I do.” [Eggo]
He was ready, he had told himself. He was ready to marry Harmony. The love of his life. The mother of his child. He was ready; more ready than he had ever been. But today was the day. The day she would become Harmony McGuiness. He was ready, he told himself. But truth was, there was a little bit of him that thought, maybe he wasn’t. He knew he wanted to marry her, wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. But maybe she wasn’t. He wasn’t doubting her love, but they were young. Maybe she didn’t want this right yet. He almost gave himself a heart attack as he stood there, waiting at the altar.
But the music started, and the guests were standing up, turning to watch the bride walk down. He nervously tapped his foot as he heard the music play, just waiting to see Harmony appear. When she did, his brain stopped functioning and his heart stopped. She was so beautiful and he couldn’t stop the tears from appearing in his eyes, as the smile on his face just kept getting bigger and bigger. And then she smiled at him, and the tears almost fell.
She lifted her eyes and made eye contact with Eoghan, and it took all her will power and strength to not start sobbing right then and there. Harmony continued to slowly walk down the aisle, step by step. She didn’t pay any mind to any of the guests, if she didn’t see them in the corner of her vision, she would have forgotten that they were even there. Her focus was solely on Eoghan.
As she got closer to the alter, her heart began beating faster and harder, and her nerves were going all over the place. However, the only comfort that was bestowed upon her was seeing Eoghan up there standing, waiting for her. With one last step, she stood before Eoghan and smiled at him, blinking away the tears that threatened to spill out; she couldn’t let that happen - itwould ruin her make up.
“I do.” [Eggo]
Harmony paced in the front room, waiting until it was time to start. To say she was nervous was a huge understatement. Her stomach was in knots, and her hands were shaking horribly. She looked at the small mirror to ake sure her hair and makeup where perfect before taking deep breaths. Now was not the time for a panic attack. “Harmony...” Harmony jumped and turned around to see Aoife in a peach dress with a big smile on her face. “Are you ready?” She asked and Harmony nodded. “Okay, i’ll let them know. When you hear the music, just come on out alright?” Harmony nodded again and took a deep breath when Aoife walked out of the room. Giving herself one more look over, Harmony headed towards the backdoor.
“It’s now or never...” She whispered to herself. She heard the music start and she grabbed her bouquet of flowers and opened the door. She looked around the little black yard wedding, and her eyes landed on Eoghan and she just smiled at him. SHe couldn’t believe that she was getting married to Eoghan. Her Eoghan. The father of her beloved daughter. She smiled even more and felt tears trying to come up, but she blinked them back. She couldn’t cry, she wouldn’t let herself.
Ah well that’s interesting because I literally hate almost everyone. But okay… [laughs and shrugs] Yeah probably. Don’t plan on that anytime soon. At all. Nope.
how come? Like... I don’t understand how someone could hate... pretty much everyone. [laughs and nods] Yeah...no one really plans on it happening any time soon but... then it does happen and you regret absolutely nothing
I can count on one hand the amount of people I genuinely like. I’m glad you’re not taking it personally though. Polite? No. Simply not tempted to see you fall again? Yes. [looks bored] Yeah… not really sure how to react to all those vocal exclamation points…
Oh...wow. Well then. Well, you seem polite to me, you haven’t really done anything to me to think of you otherwise. [rolls her eyes and smiles] You’ll understand the excitement someday when you have a daughter of your own, I’m positive.
I should rephrase that, I suppose. I don’t like physical contact with people I don’t like. You haven’t given me any reason in particular to like you so… don’t touch me. Alright then, can’t say I blame you. Gotta spoil the ones you love.
I haven’t given anyone any reason to like me, so I understand your automatic dislike, however you’re polite so far, and really that’s all that matters. Manners that is. Oh yes, I love spoiling Melody. I mean! [pulls out things from a bag] Look at how cute the little sandals are! And the headband and the little dress! They’re so adorable!
Right well… that’s too bad… still best not to touch me though. [crosses his arms] Don’t do well with the whole physical contact thing. Do you uhh… need help or something…
Don’t you have a girlfriend though? If you don’t like physical contact...then how does that work? Do you two not... like... do things? [smiles and shakes her head] Oh no thank you, I’ve got it now. I bought a little too much baby clothes...should’ve thought about my lack of ability to carry all of it before I bought so much.
I’m serious. I don’t like being touched.
Oops, sorry...guess I’m carrying too much stuff...got a little hard to try and put it all the stroller with out it all falling out of the bags.
Yeah well my wedding’s been in the works since my Mum found out she was having a girl, I think. It’s a lot of pressure. Well the idea I’ve had - if you’d like, we can sit down with some of my top designers and get you a custom dress. I’ll cover the expenses and things if you agree to have cards advertising for my company. Maybe like in the gift bags or something. [nods] I understand. I think you’d look good in something not too form fitting, but slim… maybe a swoop neckline - whatever, we’ll figure it out. What’s the theme, then?
........... Wow, that’s some mum... I’m sure she’s really ecstatic that you’re getting married. [smiles] That sounds good... I can totally do that, putting business cards in the little gift bags! I could make Eoghan do it! But that’s do-able, definately... I have no idea what any of that means... Hmmm...well... it’s a summer, backyard wedding themed...kind of....yeah.
I’ve got this binder full of things from when I was a kid until now. It’s color coded and everything, I should have been a wedding planner. [looks thoughtful] True but I do have the money to be nice and I mean, if you were willing I’d be happy to write out an deal that could end with you getting a custom dress for free. Just throwing that out there. Personally, I would go to boutiques first. I can book some appointments and make it clear you’re not buying yet, you just want some ideas.
I do too!...Although... it’s not as old as yours is...it’s only... five or so months old... but anyway... Hm... I... uhm... okay? Sure? I mean.. I kind of have an idea of what I want for a dress...I just.. I don’t know what I would look good in you know? And I also want a dress to go with the theme of the wedding too you know? Why is this so hard?
Wow jeez you really don’t have a clue. Not to be rude, of course. It’s an important decision, I guess not everyone’s had their wedding planned for years. But anyway, I can give you a quote on what a custom dress would cost or we can go talk to my designers or a few bridal boutiques so you can wee what you like? Not to buy anything if you don’t want to, just to give you a general idea of what you like? It should be the best part! So fancy!
I honestly dont... I have the rest of the wedding planned out... or at least planned enough for discussion.. but.. I don’t know, I can’t get anything far to expensive.. we don’t have all the money for something extravagant...so maybe bridal boutiques? I don’t know..what do you think?
I happen to prefer CEO, fashion mogul, business genius, but yes, fashion designer works as well. Oh!! Yes! Yes I’d totally love to help you. Do you want a custom one? Or are you just like, coming to me for some advice? Either one, I love weddings, I’d help anyone with theirs. Especially dresses!
I..I don’t know? I don’t even know where I need to start for my wedding dress... I mean I know I have an idea on what I want, but.. .I don’t know if I want a custom one or help finding one...I don’t know anything to be honest... the actual dress is the hardest part of this whole thing...
Jesus! Look at how huge that thing is. I guess if you’re the bride, you have to big binders like that. Well, I think the bridesmaid dresses are pretty, and the peach would go well with it. Yeah, I think we should go with peach, peach is great. Aw! That is so cute! She’ll look like a little princess. Well, even more so than she does now,.
Hey hey! It’s all necessity alright. I need all this because i was looking at a bunch of stuff like wedding dresses, bouquets, invitations, place cards, menus...lingerie... you know stuff. [squeals a little and smiles] I know right! Our little baby girl will look so beautiful in this dress, I can’t wait. She’s going to be the talk of the wedding I bet.
Uuhm.... Kherington? I... I heard that you were a fashion designer woman thing.... sort of thing...and I figured since you’re like a fashion designer now...I thought that going to you would be the best option for help to find a wedding dress? I was wondering if you could...help me?
