Erza had a long day, she was exhausted. And she was sure the rest of her team was. Yet she couldn't sleep. Too many thoughts buzzed throughout her head. So she walked out to the balcony that provided a bit of fresh air, hoping to calm her thoughts.
“Hey Gray.” she said without so much as looking, she was slightly surprised to see him out here as well. She knew her reasons, but she wasn’t expecting him as well. She let out a sigh that lasted a bit longer then she had hoped.
But finally she turned her head to look at him. Oh how much he had grown since she knew him. Not just in size, but the look in his eyes. And at this thought she smiled at him. It was small and soft, but it was enough to remind him that she was strong. The facade that she showed to pretty much everyone. She knew the truth, but the longer she looked at him the longer she remembered how much he knew her to see past that.
Maybe it was the lack of sleep that impaired her judgement, but the next thing she knew she was right next to the boy. Close enough to smell him, the sudden crisp smell similar to the ocean that always seemed to lure over him.
She just wondered. Hmm she always pushed these thoughts aside. She was a professional after all. And Gray was always just a friend. But her eyes seemed to be tracing his face. From his messy, dark locks, to his hauntingly beautiful eyes, down to his lips.
Just what if... her lips found their way to his, softly at first but eventually pushing into it. She didn’t know what she was doing, but at this point she didn’t care. Or at least not like she would care about most things. Her hand reached out to touch his hip as if to steady herself, realizing it was shaking the moment that she did so. The thought that he could possible pull away not even coming to mind. She simply let her thoughts melt away.
Firmly she moved her other hand to the other side of his hips and pulled him close. As close as she had ever wanted him to be. For over the years he was one of the few that she had ever let close enough to her heart. And sure she could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she did so, but in a way she wanted this.
His lips felt softer against hers then she would have expected them to be. She thought being around cold and ice all the time they would be more chapped, but they weren’t. Or didn’t seem like they were, being so caught up in the moment it didn’t much matter.
