Marcus was born into a very wealthy family in Ancient Greece
His family were world renowned scholars
hence his love for books and knowledge
Had a very happy upbringing
Known to be kind of shy and standoffish
One day, Marcus decided to find a quiet place to read in the middle of a forest
this will not end well
Marcus is attacked by a strange creature and left for dead
When we awakes in the forest alone, he realizes what he’s become
he had read about this in a book somewhere
Chose to leave his family for their safety and travel the world
For many years, he survived on killing random people in the forest and breaking into libraries to read books

One day he came across another vampire

They became buddy-buddy and decided they wanted to bring order to the vampire world
by killing the romanians
Spent a year traveling and building an army
One day, Aro brought his sister Didyme back
my man was in love
They fell in love instantly
Soon, Caius and Athenodora joined them and they quickly won the war
When they settled in Volterra, he became the go-to scholar
He taught new recruits all the history and lore of the vampire world
Known as the guards therapist and they all go to him if they are going through anything
Marcus would also teach languages and customs
Loves his family (the kings and queens) more than anything and is very protective
kinda like the older brother of the family
Becomes more extroverted when he’s alone with his family
Took a liking to Felix because he loves his energy
Spends the majority of his time reading books
Watches TV with Didyme sometimes
Not scary at all and is never angry
Everyone’s favorite king

Caius was born to a pretty wealthy family on the Greek coast
His family was huge in the fishing market
From a young age, Caius was told he had to take over the family business one day
But he wasn’t interested in it
He wanted to be a soldier and spent all his free time training and studying battle tactics
then his father drowns
Caius takes over the family business
Now he’s permanently bitter at the world because his dreams are ruined
His business does pretty well though
He meets a sweet girl he calls Dora one day
Her sweetness scares him a lil but he falls in love anyway
They live a nice married life and wants to start a family
until…
Caius is walking home and gets jumped by a group of thieves
He is robbed, beaten, and left for dead
Thankfully, Aro walks by and reads his mind
Aro sees that Caius could be very useful in his war
Caius is turned and brought to the new Volturi home
Caius isn’t upset when Aro tells him he’s a vampire
He’s pleased he can fight in a war and leave fishing behind
He also meets Marcus and Didyme
remember when I said caius was permanently bitter at the world? yeah now he’s permanently pissed off since being left for dead
He also demands that Dora be by his side and soon Aro and Caius go back for her
It pains him to turn her but he can’t imagine a life without her in it
He spends most of his time going over battle tactics
When the war ends, he craves action
He travels the world and takes care of covens/nomads that misbehave
Then he crossed paths with a werewolf and almost died
Bro declared war on em
When he’s not working, he’s exercising (even tho that’s useless to vampires)
its relaxing to him
He trains new guards with Felix
Is only himself with his brothers, sisters, wife, and sometimes the high guard
He’s really loving in private
Loves watching shows/movies with lots of killing and death
i imagine him in a robe, in a recliner, eating popcorn while laughing as someone gets stabbed to death
He takes a liking to Demetri and sees him as a son for some reason
He only sees Athena so there’s definitely no poly in this man
Whole vampire world sees this man as satan

🖤Aro V. Headcanons🖤
Aro and Didyme were born to lower class Greek farmers
They mainly farmed grapes and used it to make wine (vineyard)
Aro (being the only other man in the house) was raised to take over the farm
which he didn’t want to do
He loved making trips into the city and seeing all the art and culture
he wanted to stay there forever
His father was especially strict on him and basically beat him into submission
One day he decided he was sick of all that shit and ran away in the middle of the night
Aro ended up being a beggar in the city for a few days
nobody gave him any food so he was miserable and ended up going back home💀
On the way back home (dreading the beating he was gonna get) he was attacked by some creature
was in unbearable pain and woke up a few days later in a weird shack all alone
Aro was taught himself how to control his thirst and hunted hunters in the country
Bro didn’t know he had a gift until he touched his first victim and was SCARED
Just chilled for like 4 years by himself (lowkey needed time to teach himself how to be a monster)
One day, Aro was hunting alone and came across someone like him
his name was Marcus
They talked for like an entire day and became besties
Both saw how powerful they were together and wanted to start their own coven
Were displeased abt the state of the vampire world and wanted to overthrow the romanians
Ended up traveling the world together trying to recruit people
Spent 1 year planning and building their new home
Aro realized how much he missed Didyme
refused to go near her because he didn’t want to risk hurting her
Coincidentally, he saved her from an arranged marriage a week before the wedding
Quickly turned Didyme and introduced her to Marcus and their plans for taking over the vampire world
he tried to ignore them falling in love n shit
One day he was just strolling down the road and saw a man barely alive
Aro ofc read his thoughts and found out his name was….

He thought he could be useful with his knowledge of battle tactics so he turned him
When Caius awoke he was cool with being a vampire but he demanded his wife be by his side, so he left to bring her and be changed
Once Caius and Athenodora showed up and he knew now was the right time to start the war
Ended up winning the war (yay!) and put their headquarters in Volterra, Italy
Made himself leader (as he should✨)
Met, simped, wooed, and married Sulpicia
the light of his life
Saved Jane and Alec from death at the stake a few years later
Main hobby is reading and gossiping

Everybody terrified of him but lowkey thinks his funny asf

I picture Didyme and Aro being born in a Greek farming family
I can see them growing grapes and making wine but they didn’t make a lot of money
Didymes parents were very strict and cold
There was a lot of abuse but most of it was towards Aro (we’ll bring that up later)
She loved to make dolls and play with them; she would make happy stories and use them to act it out
One day her brother disappeared and she was heartbroken
Since her brother left, her parents needed support and decided to marry her off to a wheat farmer that they were close to
Didyme was unhappy with the situation but knew she couldn’t do anything about it
A week before her wedding she was awoken to screams and found the bodies of her parents

Didyme of course was freaking out and Aro told her to come with him and he’ll explain later
Apparently Aro (who had been gone for like 5 years) was turned into a vampire by this stranger and left for dead
Aro also mentioned meeting someone a year ago who was just like him and they have been going around the world for a few months
his name is marcus
They go to their new home which isn’t too far away and she is turned
When she wakes up she sees her brother and marcus who has just gotten home
All she feels is butterflies
Their bond only gets stronger
aro is the original third wheel, homie basically invented it
At some point they realize the vampire world is in chaos but they don’t really know what to do
Didyme didn’t like how much humans were dying due to the romanian rule (they were basically killing for fun and humans tried to fight back)
So she helped out quite a bit
Soon Caius and Athenodora showed up and they built an army
They ofc won the war and became the rulers of the vampire world
At first the wives were locked in the tower but when Didyme became depressed Aro let them out
She as a very childish personality kinda like Aros but in a different way if that makes sense
She’s always laughing about sum
She is made of pure happiness
Didyme and Aro basically created the volturi gardens from scratch
She will put together bouquets and give them to guards on their birthdays or on special occasions
Didyme keeps up with the times and she loves things modern people would like
She’s watched basically everything on Netflix and Hulu and she loves gaming
She has a special place in everyone’s heart

I see Athenodora coming from a lower-middle class family from Greece
They lived near the coast and her father painted for a living
She was popular in her small town because of her looks and personality
everyone was in love with her
Athena has a very soft personality; she’s very understanding, positive, and easy to talk to
Everyday she would volunteer to help people in need (delivering things to people who can’t go around town or helping them do things)
I picture her being very petite with light blonde hair and having large round eyes
Then she met him
Caius and her met when they were both human
Caius sailed and fished for a living, and happened to stop by her coastal town
She was swept off her feet and he thought she was strange for liking him
so they got married
They lived comfortably and she sometimes went with him fishing
Until he was attacked one night and didn’t come home
Then a week later he comes back with a man named Aro and they both have red eyes
Caius says he was attacked and this man saved him… and says they have to leave and join his vampire coven
Athena goes willingly but is saddened that she will never see her people again
She is turned once they get to their new home and meets Didyme and Marcus
They are planning to overthrow another coven and rule the vampire world
she wants no part in it
She hates conflict and usually dissolves all conflict her brothers and sister have
Caius will always go to her if he needs to be calmed down
Her and caius are the definition of opposites attract
The guard LOVE her
They always go to her when they need a therapist and she will always be there for them
She always wanted kids and she sees all the guards as hers
even if they grown ass adults
She loves painting because it reminds her of her father
Almost all the paintings in their home is her work (including the one in carlisles office)
She also loves crafting and she makes things for everyone
flashback to when she made everyone lil hats and the guard thought it was comedy gold when caius wore his
Athena is only interested in her mans so she ain’t gonna see no one else
Aro is surprisingly very close with her and they besties
She is the light of the coven

I think Sully would be from a prominent family in ancient Rome
I can see Aro partying it up at some rich neighborhood and seeing her and losing his mind
He would try to woo her with expensive gifts but at the end of the day she wasn’t fazed because she already had what she wanted
but she thought he was adorable
She would be the one wooing and turning him into this shy lil thing
imagine caius and marcus teasing the hell outta him
Aro told Sully who he truly was when he was certain (from Marcus) that she was his true love
She said fuck it and ran away with him
He turned her almost immediately once they got to Volterra
She is very regal and stern but deep down she is very loving and sensitive (only her brothers and sisters can see this side of her)
Pretty much the opposite of Aro (usually very carefree but deep down he can get very dark) but that makes them perfect for eachother
I picture her being a bigger woman with straight brown hair, everything about her is very neat and nothing is out of place
At first she didn’t like her new sisters because she was taken aback by how nice they were to her
She felt more comfortable hanging with the kings
Soon her heart melted and she loved her sisters and brothers equally
even though she would never admit it
I think she spends a lot of time in the tower but she would never be forced to stay up there
She definitely helps out the kings sometimes
She spends her time playing and creating music
Aro will hold small concerts and Sully will play for the whole guard and family
The guard finds Sully to be equally as terrifying as Caius even though she never does anything scary
it’s just the way she carries herself around
I can see her being very sarcastic all the time
She is the epitome of 😐 after all these years of dealing with Aro and his chaotic self
Sully usually is the one who guides Aro and keeps him on track
she’s his rock and he’s her rock♥️
I see both of them not being into monogamy but at the end of the day they have the strongest bond
she definitely ain’t straight
Everyone in the vampire world respects her
She’s always traveling with a guard and checking up on covens (she’s probably the sole reason everyone doesn’t outright h a t e the volturi)

Hmmm I think I wanna start writing for Athenodora and Sulpicia bc I’ve always liked these queens🤍
I cant sleep so I’m gonna explain this dream I had a couple nights ago that had the volturi and other twi characters…
Ok so basically I remember being at a park with my family and me not having that much fun. Then I remember walking up a street and ending up in this building and that was kinda sus. When I went into the building I saw these stairs that were like really tall and I remember it being very dark in there. And when I went up I remember it just being a room with a couch, tv, a couple of bookcases, a sink, and attached to the room was a another smaller room that was like a bedroom (it was the size of a coat closet so idk if you could even call it that but there was a lil sofa bed thing there and instead of it having a door it was just a curtain???). I also remember posters and stuff all over the walls in the entire place.
Now that we got the setting down I remember jane, caius, aro, marcus, and alec being there and I’m pretty sure demetri and felix showed up but didn’t speak (as per usual they even silent in my dreams just like the movies🙄 AND FELIX IS LITERALLY MY FAVE SO WHY DIDNT HE SAY NUN THE WHOLE DREAM LIKE WHAT) but I remember talking the most with jane and aro abt something I can’t remember sadly. And at some point edward and alice showed up and apparently I didn’t like them so I remember running up and down the stairs trying to get away from them and then running to the small coat closet thing and being with jane. I literally have no idea what was going on tbh💀.
But the last thing I remember is me at some waterpark thing and being in this rollercoaster water ride and jane being there and a couple of my irls???
So yeah that’s basically it. It was my first dream that involved the volturi I think so it was kinda crazy and I remember at some points I was just chillin with them which was fun! Caius was deadass chilling at the sink doing sum with marcus so it felt kinda normal for some reason😭😭😭
