Somebody get Peggy a baby to cuddle or a kitten, stat!
When Peggy arrived she could hear Anthony screaming from the drive way.
Pushing into the house she found Howard in quite a state.
âGive me the baby,â she said taking Anthony from Howard without waiting for him to hand off the baby.
âThere now, what seems to be the matter?â She cooed, to the sobbing infant.
âHave you fed him, changed his nappie?â
Peggy taking the baby out of his arms made Howard already feel twenty pounds lighter. âI, uh, donât know how to do that. I mean, I offered him a bottle,â he said.
There was a squawk from outside and the sound of wings against the window. A dog was barking and Bernard wanted inside.
Peggy let out an annoyed sigh, Howard was a good as useless.
"Howard, he's your son, you have to know how to do these things." Peggy said before she turned her attention to the window.
"You let that pink devil anywhere near little Anthony and I promise you, I will kill you myself." Peggy said glaring at the flamingo, she remembered well what it was like having to put up with Bernard while she had stitches in.
Turning her attention to the baby, Peggy bounced him gently, while she checked his diaper, (dry) and tried to offer the tot a bottle, (unsuccessful).
"Howard, what else have you tried?"
Howard glanced at the door, then went over and closed the curtains. âWell... I thought maybe if I told him about my work on nuclear resonance levels it might bore him to sleep, but it didnât work, I... I donât think he likes me.â

âHey, Peg, what are you doing this weekend?â
âOhâŠwell yes, I suppose I didâŠâ several times over, not that sheâd brag. âHe saved mine as well, though. So weâre really just even.â
Howard sat himself down in the cockpit and began flipping switches. âBuckle up, ladies,â he said. âI promise you a smooth ride once weâre in the air, but the runways here can be a little rough.â
Somebody get Peggy a baby to cuddle or a kitten, stat!
âPeg, you gotta help me. Mariaâs out with the girls and Jarvis and Anna had to run off to do something, and now Bernardâs throwing a fit and the babyâs crying and I donât know what to do.â
"Well hello to you too, Howard." Peggy said holding the phone away from her ear, as Anthony wailed loudly down the receiver.
"I'm on my way, hold tight."
âYouâre a lifesaver,â said Howard, breathing out. âIâll leave the door open for you.â He gave the baby a halfhearted bounce... heâd seen both Jarvis and Maria do that, but he was scared of breaking him. Anthony seemed so fragile... and yet he could kick like a devil.

"What the bloody hell are you doing?!"
âA test subject thatâs not alive?â Peggy said that was the only thing she could think of if she was quite honest.
âLike some sort of dummy.â
âA dummy canât control the thing,â Howard pointed out, then snickered. âOr were you offering one of your colleagues?â
"What the bloody hell are you doing?!"
âI am testing my jetpack. Whatâs it look like Iâm doing?â
"It looks like you're about to get yourself killed." Peggy said, arching an eyebrow.
âCome on, Peg, you donât think I trust my own technology?â he asked. âImagine how much more manoeuvrable a man with one of these would be than a big, clunky airplane.â
"Howard. The flying car incident in '42." Peggy reminded, still standing her ground. Steve had told her all about how the flying car had crashed to the stage, nearly crushing several chorus girls' feet in the process.
"There has to be a way to test it that doesn't risk life and limb."
âThat was a demonstration,â said Howard firmly. âIt wasnât meant to go far. What would you suggest, then?â
@blackwidowandco
âHey, Peg, what are you doing this weekend?â
âYou have? Oh, yes, I did.â She blushed lightly at being singled out. âShall we go aboard?â
âI have so many questions,â Matilda said as they climbed the stairs to Howardâs plane. âHe said in an interview once that a woman saved his life... was that you?â

âHey, Peg, what are you doing this weekend?â
Angie bounded over gushing about the trip, plane, and Matildaâs dress while Peggy followed her over more sedately. âHello, Howard. Matilda.â
âTilly, this is Peggy Carter and her friend Angie,â said Howard.
âHi,â said Matilda, and thanked Angie for the compliments on her outfit. âPeggy, Iâve heard so much about you! You really knew Captain America?â
@blackwidowandco
âHey, Peg, what are you doing this weekend?â
âIâll invite Angie and we can go. It wonât take either of us long to pack.â
âI appreciate women who can travel light. Meet you at the airport.â
Peggy nodded and headed to round up Angie and pack. Soon they were at the airport looking for Howard.
Howard was standing at the bottom of the stairs up to his private plane, waving to them. âThis is Matilda,â he gestured to the stewardess. âSheâll be serving the drinks on the way.â

âHey, Peg, what are you doing this weekend?â
âNo, Howard, Iâm subjecting my friends to you. Well, maybe Angie, she can hold her own.â
âI wouldnât expect any less from someone youâd hang out with. No worries, I can pick up a girl in Italy all by myself.â
@blackwidowandco
âHey, Peg, what are you doing this weekend?â
âOnly during the war. I suppose Iâll need a swim suitâŠâ
âOnly if you want to swim. Pack up - Iâll do the flying. You wanna bring any friends? I donât mind having more ladies around. Might pick up a couple more while weâre there.â
@blackwidowandco
âHey, Peg, what are you doing this weekend?â
âYou know how serious things are between them, why even try? And define âlittleâ.â
âOnly five bedrooms. Nice ocean view. Swimming pool.â
âOnly five? I suppose thatâs enough for the two of us. Why a pool when the ocean is right there?â
âHave you been in the Mediterranean? Tastes disgusting.â
