A year ago, I spent two months backpacking through the wilderness of Utah. I’m suddenly hit with a wave of nostalgia- I miss waking up to trilling birdsong and slow sunrises, I miss swimming half naked in twisting rivers (because we were so removed from civilization that no one could care), I miss the nights that it rained and I fell asleep to the pattering of rain again my make-shift tarp cave. One day I will write of the beauty and transformation I experienced, but, for now, I will just be filled with an insatiable desire to venture out into the wilderness with a nothing but a few good friends and a backpack to my name.
