As the hand touched her cheek every aspect of Hakuno’s doubt had been erased, she was finally reunited with her servant and literally could not be any happier than she was at this point. There was so many thing Hakuno wanted to say now that she was with Saber once again, but there was a time and place for such things, and right now she needed a way to calm both herself and Saber down. With her heart and mind racing in the moment Hakuno was already trying to figure things out, why they had been roomed together, what had brought them here, and what all happened to Saber to saber in her absence. Though while being distracted by her thoughts she failed to see that Nero had moved in much closer to embrace Hakuno and to the embrace Hakuno did two things, with tears still streaming down her face, Hakuno gave a bright smile and returned the embrace of Saber. A reunion like this was beyond her belief to be a coincidence perhaps it was purposefully set up? Maybe it was by chance? As Hakuno’s mind ponder the chances on the setup Nero spoke once again.
The words caused a reaction in Hakuno, one she expected to come eventually, then again there was a time and place for these things and this moment was not that one. Hakuno swore that they probably looked like some scene from a sappy movie right about now with a reunion like this, or maybe it would have looked more like it if they had been simply standing closer to the light through the window, either way it was still great to see Saber again and in good health too. “Yes Saber, it’s me.” Hakuno said quietly as she started to rub Saber’s back gently in an effort to try and calm her down a bit, though thinking that it would actually work was a long shot. “It felt like forever, but i finally get to be with you again. I can not describe how worried i was about you.”
With her words Hakuno reached a hand up and placed it on Saber’s cheek once again then moved her hand a bit more to wipe the tears off of Saber’s cheek with a bit of a worried look on her face. “Come on Saber…Your more elegant than this, a lord as amazing as yourself shouldn’t cry like this.” Hakuno said giving a small laugh though even though she was attempting to calm Saber down her own tears betrayed her facade of calmness. It was not easy to stop tears of joy, this Hakuno knew too well, though unlike her servant Hakuno was never very good at hiding her emotions, and never bothered to even if she needed to, unless it was worry she hid that a lot. Hakuno knew that this reunion scene couldn’t last forever, but she also didn’t want to feel like she was just trying to rush to get pasted it, it was a fragile moment that was bound to happen amongst the two even if they hadn’t been put in the same home. Actually now thinking on that Hakuno was very thankful she was put in the same home as Saber, if she was not then there was no telling how Saber may have reacted in jealousy.
Hakuno’s words brought an unexplainable amount of warmth and comfort to her. Nero knew that, surely, Hakuno will never forget her even when they are separated, but it still brings her so much joy to hear it from the other herself. She searched for the right words to summarize what she felt, but all that came out is a bunch of stutters. ❝ I... I missed you so much, Praetor! T...There was not one day that passed which I didn't think about you. I thought I would never see you again, and I... and I... ❞
Before she could even finish her sentence coherently, she breaks down once more, her tears falling down uncontrollably and more intensely than earlier before. Even though she has been at this for the past few minutes, droplets of tears still overflow — they encompassed the emotions she had been holding back this whole time. Finally, they are free to fall like the autumn leaves.
Once again, Nero found meaning in Hakuno's words. ❝ U...Umu. You are very right. ❞ She lifts a free hand to wipe the corners of her eyes, before turning back to look at Hakuno in the eye again. Her tears disappear quicker than the changing seasons. As she composes herself, Nero nods her head, giving the other a reassuring smile. ❝ I shall shed no more tears. This is such a joyous occasion, I should be smiling instead of crying! ❞
Tilting her head a little to the side, she extends a hand out to Hakuno. ❝ Come, Praetor. Let us catch up with one another over a drink. Tell me all about how you’ve been doing since we last met. I will listen to your every word with care! ❞
