The last thing she wanted was to make anyone else fret— she was probably ignorant to assume that no one would think to speak up about her current state. There was no way for her to make the hollow crescents shadowing her eyes disappear; perchance with the exception of a good night’s sleep. Rather problematic, considering she couldn’t seem to let herself rest. Her teammates had expressed their worries earlier… and now Pyrrha. She didn’t want to snap back at her, as she was clearly only being considerate. In part, neither did she have the energy to compose a quick remark capable of deflecting such careful heeding.
❝ I’m fine, really. ❞ She assured. The answer was somewhat clipped, but she did sprinkle just enough effort into both her volume and tone to keep from sounding irritated or impatient with the other. ❝ I just… haven’t had the easiest time getting a full night’s rest lately. I don’t think there’s a lot I can do to change that right now. ❞
THERE existed a part of her that was wary upon asking--perhaps fearing that Blake would respond with a mark of irritation in her tone of voice, when she responds. She'd been made aware of the possibility, somewhat. Prior experience of concern for a certain blond-haired boy had done much to consider measuring her words carefully this time around. The change in her expression is subtle, a relieved sigh to escape moderately parted lips. In truth she feels relieved her show of concern did not trigger the effect she once bore witness to. Still, focus is placed on Blake's words over her relief.
"Then... Do you mind if I asked what's troubling you?" The concern in her voice is still evident, gentle tones making it so. That had to be it, right? She can think of little else that points to the difficulty in getting a full night's rest, and if there was anything she could do to alleviate the intensity of Blake's troubles she'll not hesitate to do so in order to assist. Even if it had only meant to listen, perhaps offer advice if she could?

“Are you looking for some help? Or… directions to the nearest toga party?”
It isn’t the hair that distracts Yukari, though red hair is pretty unusual in Japan. Yet Mitsuru pulls the look off well, and quite frankly, so does this woman too. There are always exceptions, but really, it’s the outfit that distracts her the most. It looks like a costume or something out of a play - not casual attire.
"Toga party?" She's confused as to the query, and the utterance is accompanied by the slightest tilt of her head when she speaks. Assistance wasn't to be declined, certainly. It was the very thing she needed the most right now. Just how did she find herself wound up in unfamiliar territory such as this?
"I'm afraid I don't know what you mean... But I am a little lost, yes. Thank you, some help would be appreciated." A smile follows. Eyeing the woman in pink she hopes to exude an air of friendliness in her manner of speech, at the very least. "Would you tell me where I am?"
happy birthday vaeporeons! hope you had a fab day! :)

Rhythmic tapping on the tabletop made her stir and snap upright. Pausing a moment to rub the sleep from her eyes with the back of her hand, she then searched for the source of the noise. Teeth sinking deep into her lower lip, her expression automatically softened into one of apologetic nature. Oh. That’s right. Pyrrha. She’d been talking with Pyrrha. Falling asleep mid-conversation… She must’ve seemed so unbelievably rude. Blake gave her head an urgent shake in desperation to achieve some form of wakefulness.
❝ Sorry, Pyrrha. Did you say there was a book you wanted to borrow? ❞
IT was indeed likely she'd take notice of it sooner or later. Blake's exhaustion in the last few days had been evident enough, very little perception was needed in class and talks in between friends to regard that much. She'd never thought to ask, given that the question was apparently eluded whenever anyone could get the chance to inquire. She gives the other a small smile, more tinged with concern whilst to convey she wasn't at all bothered by the other drifting off to sleep mid-conversation.
"There is, but I think there is a little more pressing concern to me than that. Blake, shouldn't you get some sleep?" Her smile remains, tone gentle but urging. "You've been looking much too exhausted lately... It is a little worrying." Knowing full well she isn't the only one who thinks so. Not that she would speak of it just yet as it may well set her off, given what she's heard from the others.
"I’m going to need —" Cue a pause, a deep breath as she settles beside her roommate, eyes bright and lined with curiosity and excitement, ‘you to tell me everything. Everything! How did it go? Did you give him your gift? Did he like it? Did he understand what it was for? Does Jauney boy even understand what Valentine’s day is? Did he get you anything? Did he talk about the dance? Did he talk about dancing with you at the dance? Is he getting any of your hints?” Clearly these questions were imperative; she’s on the edge of her seat here! It’s a wonder she hasn’t started shaking the poor girl.
SHE really shouldn't be surprised by the sudden bombardment of questions at this point, yet still her slightly bewildered expression betrays the other girl's disposition she's steadily growing accustomed to. Sitting in silence before all this probably didn't help, though in truth she isn't even certain how to answer the gist of her queries. "Sadly, I don't think he is... But perhaps if I'm mistaken and he has, we haven't really talked about it." So that was for one, perhaps two of her many questions answered? She tries for a smile, of course she knows Nora only has the best intentions in mind to inquire.
"I thought I'd decided to give it to him this morning, but... What if I'd simply left it in his locker? With a note?" The gift box still remains under her bed, though if anyone were to look closely enough... That is to say, Nora could probably see it where it still sits.

❝ I know how last minute this is, but I was wondering if you already had plans for tomorrow. Seeing as we don’t have classes and all, I thought it might be nice for us to spend some time together. You know, when we’re not focused on fighting. ❞
With one extremity carefully positioned behind her back - completely out of sight so as to fully conceal crossed digits serving to summon forth a rare moment blessed by favorable fortune, genuine hope glisters from within vigilant optics that practically shimmer beneath warm lights shining with a radiance capable of setting the tone for significant galas. Yes, the timing is certainly unfortunate, but perhaps the taller individual will prove to have a more flexible schedule than the erudite one currently believes her to maintain.
AND she turns right there and then, thoughts of her following plan of action shifting toward attention, in favour of the snow-haired other. She thinks on it then, head tilting with a hand at her hip. Eyes turned upward as she does, till she concludes she doesn't really, as far as she recalls. Weiss was never one she'd been given a chance to spend much time with, especially in recent days.
"Not as far as I recall... I should be free tomorrow." And a smile graces her lips. "Where did you have in mind?"
The sheer sight of the young woman was enough to take her breath away. Just from looking at her posture, an aura radiating great strength beamed. It was almost intimidating. Habitually, Peko couldn’t help but size her up— attempting to distinguish what her greatest assets were, and if she had any weaknesses. However, there was very little information to work with thus far. She would have to be attentive. Still, hearing praise from such a woman painted a faint blush from ear to ear across her cheeks.
❝ Oh— T-thank you… ❞ She tilted her head, awkwardly tugging at the end of one of her braids. It wasn’t often that she heard such compliments. Recovering after a moment, she attempted to distinguish more about the redheaded warrior from the way she spoke. If she wasn’t looking specifically to spar, then— ❝ Ah, I apologize. If you’re here to train alone, I should be finished momentarily. I wouldn’t want to take any of your time. ❞
HER response was one gentler than expected; the voiced query, the faint blush present across her cheeks... Perhaps it is she who knows more than anyone how it feels to be looked upon with the highest of praises, much of it to the point of intimidation, knowing full well of the desolation it brings. Was it this feeling then, that brings her to smile at the other? Well, perhaps that and the girl's given reaction (certainly unforeseen) which was actually quite charming to see.
"Well, it was mostly that I had expected to find this place empty when I arrived... I was pleasantly surprised to find someone else, not that I wished to bother you so I simply stood and watched." Realization does come that her chosen action may not have been welcomed at first, thus the girl's reaction. She blinks, but she supposed it was too late to think on that now. "It would be nice to train with someone else, however... An honour, in fact. To train with someone of your skill, I must admit I'm quite curious."
"I love your head armor jewelry piece!"
AND there exists a tinge of surprise befalling her features. Turning to where he spoke is a young man. A new face? Such a compliment from the stranger she faces was the least to be expected, but appreciated all the same. "Thank you." And when she speaks there is a smile drawn forth, and a nod of her head. Of course, curiosity would now lead her to inquire.
"I don't believe we've met... Are you one of the exchange students, perhaps?"

SHE finds herself hesitating, still. In her hand she holds a box, wrapped with a blue ribbon on top. Many times over she'd convinced herself she would deliver it to him personally, just as a friend giving another friend a valentines gift, right? If she were to truly practice what she preached, she'd be more honest about her feelings, but... It was just going to be a last minute decision to leave it in his locker, she supposed. Said box contained a sword-patterned onesie (meant for sleepwear) and chocolates.
Not that his sudden presence from behind her was to be expected, and when he does make himself known she freezes, almost.
"Oh-- Jaune! Hello. I...wasn't expecting to see you here so soon." Evidently surprised she blinks, box still in hand, and while her immediate inclination is to hide the box behind her, to which she still does (to very little effect), she smiles. Perhaps a little sheepish yet it is an attempt to draw out the self-confidence she holds more frequently, though in battle it usually was.
ooc; I really need to fix this blog's music player position but I haven't HTML'd in a while that I forgot how to...do that... Also hello to group members I'm pretty bad at intros but you can call me Syn, I am the Pyrrha of the group and I look forward to roleplaying with everyone! You can go ahead and like this post for a starter (length will vary, might take a while because I'm always short on ideas but they'll come eventually!)
Pausing mid swing to cast her gaze upon an unfamiliar silhouette in the doorway, she gracefully sheaths her blade in one brisk movement and adjusts her posture. Forbearing and unsurprised, she acknowledges the newcomer with a single nod. Whilst it was unideal to stop training, she preferred not to be observed either.
❝ I don’t often spar for sport… or are you here for something else? ❞
SUCH a notion suggested isn't one she'd be inclined to refuse, had it been a request... Only to deny that it wasn't her intention for remaining where she stood. She'll say it for its truths, of course.
"Ah... No, I'm sorry. I was merely captivated by your swordplay that I thought I'd stand here and watch. You seem quite the capable warrior." And a pause. Should she suggest? Somehow she feels it could be more a bother than a predilection, but surely there was no harm in making certain? "A spar isn't really what I had in mind, but if that is what you'd like I'd be happy to oblige."
jaune-de-arc:
"Well? What’d ya say we leave this life of huntress and hunter and become a traveling dance group instead?"
And a chuckle escapes her, thinking to go along with his jest she speaks--
"I'm not entirely opposed to the idea. With those moves you could definitely lead us to success!"

jaune-de-arc:
Knuckles whitened as he gripped to the hilt of his sword. The last thing he need right then was losing his grip and getting flung into a tree, or worse, getting mauled by the creature. Of course Pyrrha was there to come to his rescue as she always did, and while he would always be thankful for her patience and willingness to help, he wished he was able to hold his own more. He was however steadily improving thanks to her help and the training sessions with his team, but his self-esteem made it so that he was always the last to see it and it was never until someone pointed it out that he actually noticed how much he’d changed.
The sudden shift and slump of the Ursa was enough for Jaune to lose his footing, and with one small slip was sent rolling off the back of the Ursa and into the base of a tree. As always Pyrrha was there to help him pick himself back up. "Oh, you know, just a bit of bruised pride. The usual." And with that small quip he accepts her hand and hoists himself back up onto his feet. "Y’know…I really thought I had it that time…"
BUT she has seen improvements; several, in fact, that she felt herself welling up with pride and happiness for him when they'd practiced the day before. So when he speaks of 'the usual' her expression falters just slightly, but determination to help still rises above the slight frown momentarily displayed. And thus she pulls Jaune back up, thinking to speak. Eyes shifting back to the fallen Ursa, as if to calculate what he might have possibly done wrong.
"Perhaps you'd been a little too hasty in your attack? I think your swordplay has improved remarkably, though." Likely a miscalculation that almost led to his downfall, and the Ursa did seem just as fast as it was huge. "How are you feeling? Maybe if we practiced more, and this time with monsters. I will be here to assist."
