My Jerry headcanons!
(Im gonna do all characters eventually)
• He is really great at cooking and baking (btw he taked baking lesson in comics)
• label all his food but everyone eat it anyway because they either choose to ignore it, don't notice or do it out of spite.
• Get furious when someone in the house use honey from store he really push everyone to use honey from his bees.
• Started straighten his hair around the time Morty was born cause he didn't had much time to take care of them.

• Used to repress his sexuality A LOT but Sleepy Gary situation kinda changed his brain chemistry and maked him less insecure about it.
• Used to be huge girl dad when Summer was born (definitly cried at her birth) but started eventually shift his attention on to Morty because he thought he could relate to him more.

• He's mama's boy.
• When he saw Rick using modern slang around Summer and Morty he wanted trie too but humilated himself cause he didn't knew how use it correctly.
• Absolutely fall for AI scam 😭
• Was child with special needs himself and he kinda project his insecurities related to it on Morty.

• He vent to chat GPT.

it still very funny to me back in after season 2 era and little garabe started to realised they like LIKE jerry and went through 5 stages of grief in real time.
Personally, I think this is the best time ever to be a Jerry fan. Since S6 Jerry got more and more screentime. And more moments of him as a character than being just the butt of the joke. (Not saying we never get the scene of him as the butt of the joke ever again, someone needs to keep Rick entertained somehow) Not to mention a ton of fan service. (S6E5, S9E3, S9E5 etc etc.) And recently, pure Jerry centric ep like nomortland that was written very sincerely. AND casual fans of RnM are warming up to him and want to see him more.

As someone who decided to give Rick and Morty a chance just this past June—watching it completely detached from the fandom to avoid spoilers and outside opinions—I have to say that Jerry was my favorite character right from the very first season. Naturally, I loved how they progressively gave him more screen time and importance throughout the seasons, developing him into a genuine character rather than just a narrative plot device or a running gag. That’s why Nomortland was such an incredible surprise; it felt like a total gift to me, quickly becoming one of my favorite episodes alongside Night Family. I always like to make this clear because I take pride in having become a Jerry fan purely through my own experience, without any external influence or prior knowledge of how the fandom received him.
By the time I caught up with the show, Rick and Morty was on episode six of season nine, which was when I finally decided to dive into the fandom. That’s when I realized Jerry was actually heavily disliked at first—or at best, a matter of indifference to many. In fact, I’ve often said that if I had discovered this character back when I was 15 when the show first came out, I probably would have been one of only three crazy Jerry fans out there—or maybe even the only one, haha! But instead, I got to know him at 28. He's just the exact type of character I like and sometimes even more.
Lately, I’ve noticed people complaining about his screen time, while I couldn't be happier about it. Honestly, as far as I'm concerned, they could dedicate an entire season to Jerry—I ADMIT IT, and I have no regrets saying so! Don't get me wrong, I love Rick and Morty, but when I started bingeing it, I did it for one single reason: Jerry Smith. From season two onward, all I wanted was to see more and more of him in every episode. So when I finally joined the fandom, it genuinely blew my mind that he wasn't a popular character, when he’s clearly the best character on the show! (Yeah I actually think that as a legit thing. It's my opinion)
nomortland was a pure gift to Jerry fans indeed! It took me by a surprised when they made a pure centric Jerry ep that showed various version of him and reflected how far he has come! a pure jerry lovers indulgence for real 🥺💚
Jerry fans has always been in a consistance amount from what I've seen (not as much as other, but also a there a good chunk of us) sadly with time passed. people gradually stop following the show 💔 I'd say there is more Jerry fans in this recent era tho. which I'm really happy to see (you included! :D I adored how you draw him sm!) tho if you have met jerry back then. even with all the hate back then, It'd be so fun to watched him developed, season to season! (it makes nomortland hit so hard to me personally)
Also SAME, It feel so greedy of me to admit that I'd love a full jerry centric season LMAO. he's so fun to watch, just walking around and doing his things and get into situations. stayed watching for him after all <3333

If the Smith family went to pride, I think Jerry would do something like wear hankies in the colours of the rainbow/bi flag and Rick would be like ‘damn Jerry, didn’t realise you were chill like that’ and Jerry would just think Rick was complimenting him on being woke/progressive and then be really confused why so many people were hitting on him with extremely specific kinks.

I’ve somehow never considered this until now. On one hand, Jerry is still in there and so would be having sex with someone else. On the other hand, neither of them is actually Jerry, so technically Jerry wouldn’t be cheating since he didn’t do it.
