I don’t think remember where I found this I think found it from pinterest but I don’t remember
I wanted to also talk about here what I think each of L’s successors represent about L’s character.
I don’t think I have to go into Near very much about how he is similar to L—he has the same intelligence levels and deduction skills, as well as having an emotionless way of tackling cases that is similar to L’s detachment. Mello as well has L’s motivational drive—he’s gets very committed to things and does just about anything he can to obtain that objective, even if its morally wrong. So we know Near shares L’s intelligence and Mello’s shares L’s obsessional drive—but I never see people talk about what L and Matt have in common?
I think that Matt shares L’s pickiness. Matt seems pretty calm, chill and overall uncaring and bored of things that dont interest him. I think this fits L’s character of him only taking on cases he has an interest in. Matt only acts when he cares enough about something, even if morally or seen from an outsider stand point he seems more cruel or lazy for it. This shares L’s quality as well where he can be seen as morally gray for only caring for cases that have certain requirements and peak his interests.
Near — intelligence
Mello — obsessional drive
Matt — pickiness
this is SO interesting!!! i think matt and L would also have a lot in common techwise (definitely think matt's more tech-brained than L, but i think the way their brains work in regards to learning that sort of thing is SUPER similar). i also think L and matt are both more independent learners, taking a hands-on approach to things rather than sitting through classes and being taught (also why matt seemed to be a slacker sometimes, that method of education just didn't mesh with his learning style (that, and that guy's got adhd)).
Flash back to the baked one 🤑🤑🤑
I'm so not ready to be miserable for the next school year, but at least I will be able to be miserable in the comfort of my own home
