Everything has changed. The world has irreparably shifted on its axis and will never be righted to the way in which it once was. For Reed, that’s a bad thing. It’s a sign of failure and defeat. For Susan, it’s pure possibility. She’s lived her entire life on Earth, and the one time she went to space things didn’t go as planned. She can’t imagine everything that the small furry creature in front of her has seen, but she wants to know more of the galaxy. “It sounds like we had close to the same thought,” Sue smiles. “My team and I realized that we have something we can offer here. It looks like all hands on deck is more than needed.”

“I tried to reverse the effects— that’s not something I wanted to hide. I failed. Now we have these abilities and I’m doing my best to find meaning in that failure. It’s been.. it’s been harder for me than it has been for the others.”

“Reed.” The word is spoken with patience and not annoyance. Susan’s felt the full spectrum of emotions when it comes to Reed and what’s happened to them. Right now? Peace. Susan’s come to terms with what’s happened in a way that her almost paramour teammate clearly hasn’t. “I know it’s been harder, but we all said we’re going to try and make it better now. Remember? Up from here, not down.”

“I wouldn’t have guessed you were. Is that a common mistake?” Susan’s seen Spider-man before. They haven’t personally met, but he does aesthetically look different. “If you’re not Spider-man, who are you? I’m Susan.”

A formerly invisible body flickers into view as Susan deftly steps to the side to avoid the person coming in her direction. “—Sorry. Growing pains. It’s a work in progress.”
