Ugh...
so i ran out of space on my phone & had to delete the app. now i can’t even find the app in the app store to re-install it. wth?! why does life have to be so hard sometimes?!
Donald Trump is a sad, little man, who is a constant and unending embarrassment to this nation. He doesn’t have the intellectual capacity for the job he has, as evidenced by his many business failures, bankruptcies, and ongoing lawsuits. With every passing day his already anemic popularity will continue to dwindle as he leaves pundits wondering if a 0-percent approval rating is even possible. He may very well destroy the United States, and history will remember him as a small-fingered fraud that no one liked.

How to call your reps when you have social anxiety
When you struggle with your mental health on a daily basis, it can be hard to take action on the things that matter most to you. The mental barriers anxiety creates often appear insurmountable. But sometimes, when you really need to, you can break those barriers down. This week, with encouragement from some great people on the internet, I pushed against my anxiety and made some calls to members of our government. Here’s a comic about how you can do that, too. (Resources and transcript below.)
Motivational resources: There are a lot! Here are a few I really like:
Emily Ellsworth explains why calling is the most effective way to reach your congressperson.
Sharon Wong posted a great series of tweets that helped me manage my phone anxiety and make some calls.
Kelsey is tweeting pretty much daily with advice and reminders about calling representatives. I found this tweet an especially great reminder that calls aren’t nearly as big a deal as anxiety makes them out to be.
Informational resources: There are a lot of these, as well! These three are good places to start:
Find your representative at house.gov
Find your senators at senate.gov
Use the “We’re His Problem Now” scripts when calling (or write your own!)

This is awesome. And I’m going to add what I decided to do. I have phone anxiety and with all the busy signals and all the full mailboxes and like 20 issues they want us to call on, it was overwhelming me. So I decided I’ll call when it’s an over-arching issue (getting rid of Bannon has to be the priority right now) but otherwise I decided to do something else as my contribution.
I’m writing letters to thank people who take a stand. I wrote to our governor, Jerry Brown, to thank him for his amazing State of the State address that completely defied Trump. I wrote to the chief of the LAPD, who said that the force will not comply with any order to round up undocumented immigrants. And you don’t even have to be a resident of the place. You can tell the Denver Superintendent of Schools that you appreciate them standing up and setting an example for other school districts to follow. I’ve decided this is how I’m going to do my part. That and marching. I LOVE marching!
On Thursday, unnamed sources told news site Axios that Trump gave his female campaign staffers a note: They need to “dress like women.“
According to the report, “women who worked in Trump’s campaign field offices — folks who spend more time knocking on doors than attending glitzy events — felt pressure to wear dresses to impress Trump.”
Women who heard reports of Trump’s sartorial demands were not exactly thrilled with Trump’s desire to make womenswear great again and they fire back with the hashtag #DressLikeAWoman. Read more
“The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.”
