Samir’s response earns a scoff from Alex, who keeps his eyes on the road, one hand poised on the steering wheel of the car. It’s a moment or two before he comes up with a response in his heavily accented English, because the words don’t come naturally. “Go to Helsinki. We’re all like that there.” He says stiffly, still trying to think of his next words. “The people we work for? They are not your friends.”

Samir doesn't like rolling his eyes, thinks it's rude even. Alex awakens his secret self, a self not caring about what his mama taught him. His eye roll doesn't last long, but it's there.

A swift annoyed expression flickers on her concentrated face, the magazine in her hands only a few inches away from her eyes. Lam's questions awakens excitement and she isn't annoyed anymore. Ester throws the magazine into the air, to the side, doesn't look where she's throwing, it's almost lands on a flowerpot. Not that Ester knows, because she's already crawling closer to Lam, on all four, just to sit very close to him. She leans in, as if their private space hasn't already became one, beams. ❛ It's a dad. A father. You know, someone who has a kid. But also he has to have this aura around him, like, sexual aura. And his hands are all veiny when he grabs you and he pays for your things. Cares 'bout you in every way. He knows what he wants in bed, usually guides you and is a top. ❜ She could go on, though she's waiting for Lam to process all of that.

Zora found themselves filled with internal swears, that they were deeply tempted to release. But unusual languages were probably not going to help things any. No. They had to remain calm. They thought they were alone and had stretched in a very… peculiar fashion to let out the internal energy tension from being a bit too small of a form in public.

Only to come to and see someone looking quite directly at them.

“Oh um. Sorry you had to see that. I, I it was a personal thing. Gets the tension out.“ Which was technically true although actually going into the details didn’t seem like a good idea.

“Is there any way I can just.. help you for get seeing any of that? Or even just get you a little something for your trouble. Just please. I’ll do what I can for you.“

He doesn't quite understand what his eyes managed to catch. Samir should've minded his own business, which he often does, but there was a force pulling him to look into a certain direction. And now he understands why. They approach him and say it's a personal thing, and if it weren't of his tan a slight blush could have been visible on his cheeks.

he’s not one to BEG, usually. but there he was - doing exactly that. lucas hated every second of it but he really needed his stuff. because most - if not all of it was in that apartment. “That man pushed himself to the nearest payphone and called the ambulance.”

“I don’t even want to imagine how the telephone booth looked once he was pulled out.” Then the hospital would proceed to call her, for Sal acknowledged Eve as his emergency contact.

Drunkard? That's far from what Ester expected. She has this image of Sal in her mind, an image equal to these gangster movies coming out the past few years. The slight disappointment reflects in her words. ❛ You sure it was only a drunkard? Why would drunkard chose to stab Sal? Was he in the way or somethin'? ❜ Hopefully Eve has the answers to her questions. But then again this is america and Ester has a poor image of it despite living here quite few years.

France's not the top safe country, at all, but she just holds USA in really low ranking.

❛ I'm glad he's okay. He's strong, like, I haven't heard about lot of people calling themselves an ambulance. Like, I know the adrenaline kicks in and all, but he has a real strong spirit in the first place. ❜ She's rambling, then looks at Eve, and realizes she should be more compassionate. ❛ Do you want a tea? Sometimes, he thinks Ester’s moods could give him whiplash. He’s still trying to process the ludicrous claim that he’s been cheating on her, and then here she goes with the talk of having a baby. AGAIN. Part of Alex just wants to yell, “Do I look like I have time for a baby right now? I don’t have even a minute to myself these past few months!” But no, he’s got to be nicer than that to his girlfriend, right?

He forces himself to take a deep breath before choosing his next words carefully. (The accident taught him so much about thinking before you speak; the Alex of old would’ve said that without a second thought.) “What kind of father would I be to our child, being away all of the time?” That, he thinks, is a suitably measured and restrained response.

She's relentless, stubborn. It's fair to say Ester doesn't give up until she comes a winner from any situation, any issue. She pushes and pushes and people generally give up, because who want to deal with a constant pushing. It's annoying, ruins a good sunny day. Besides, people generally don't deal well with pressure. But then there's Alex. His whole career depends on a pressure, he's still standing up against Ester, confident in his reasoning. She doesn't like it.

❛ Jesus. ❜ Annoyance once again enters her tone. Alex only thinks about himself, Ester reflects, wiping the dishes. ❛ I can be a mom and a dad. No one ever died 'cause they had an absent father. ❜ If only Ester would listen to what comes out of her mouth, then she would realize lot of people have died due to absent fathers. Even if she was aware of the weight her words hold, she would be persistent. A goal is to be reached. ❛ You'd have like, no work at all with the baby. I'd take care of everything. ❜
