A source of inspiration!
RESPECT:
-Respecting other people and their cultures. This is one of the main aims of IOU Respect. During this program, we have exchanged so much with each other and we came to realize how important it is to respect people and their opinions, dreams and cultures. We came to learn the real meaning of respect.
-Everyone has his or her strengths. During the IOU Respect program we got to know what kinds of strengths everyone has and how we can combine the to help each other and to make the best out of it. It is so fascinating how different we can be.
-Energy was defined in a new way, here at IOU Respect. As we are a very big group, thousands of ideas come together, thousands of new sources for inspiration exist and there is so much creativity, fun and ambition to participate that it feels like we all receive a huge amount of energy from each other. I love it!
-Tolerance is the first step for a peaceful living together. Without tolerance, mutual understanding is impossible. During the IOU Respect program I expanded my tolerance as well as my open-mindedness for other cultures views and demands, isn’t that wonderful?
A different instructive experience!
In my country , I used to go to similar camps as IOU, but the difference here is in IOU the participants come from diverse countries and speak different languages, which is rich and instructive. It allows you to make a lot of friends from all over the world. What I learned changed me. I,indeed, had to respect time, respect others’ opinions and speak new languages. It was and is an amazing, life changing experience.
Be a traveller instead of a tourist!
The 24th-hour challenge was an opportunity to explore the less touristic parts of Paris that draws millions of people annually. Fortunately, we were able to discover the lives of migrants and nationals, and how the Parisian culture is such a mix. By exploring the lives of many people, you come to discover how privileged you are. You come to find that this beautiful touristic and lively city is also filled with different and hard-working people trying to survive. This experience was a true one-of-a-kind because when will you have the opportunity to walk in a foreigner city and ask for business cards in a totally different language that you only practiced for a week. Besides, working with people from different countries was absolutely challenging, but so instructive and revealing. It helps you develop your communication skills ,helps you developing your understanding and teaches you how to get the best from everyone. You learn about your capacities and what you really can bring to the table to make the system work. I found the whole experience satisfying, we got to discover the other amazing diverse side of Paris that I wouldn’t had the chance to do if I was only a tourist.
So to you all, go out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself, experience the life of a traveller and you will not be disappointed.
Being responsible
If I had to speak about something, I would choose the thing that annoyed most of you , the lack of organization in our open space outings.
Well, for that , I would say: “A man who goes alone can start today , but he who travels with others must wait till that other is ready.”
And that it is all about , feeling responsible for each other and trying to go through this trip together so that this trip would take us to a higher place.

Perfection
It has been a week, already, since I met the lost amazing people I could ever meet. Coming from every corner of the globe and living together is utterly a mind-changing experience.
Life is a journey from which we acquire knowledge IOU RESPECT is a station n which one can learn a lot :Self and Others Discovery.
Challenging moment : Being an IOU participant is a challenge, but talking to oneself in a mirror is insanely challenging.
Bouh Moment: Perfection doesn’t exist yet, IOU does. Thus, it’s its representation.
Ahhhh Moment: One can see with his\her heart. Open it and you’ll see what your eyes can’t.
