why TRUTH is the key to everything
• Nancy and Jonathan were about to die in that room until they told each other the truth, about themselves and about their feelings. As soon as they did everything stopped and they were safe.
• Dustin and Steve were hurting each other, they were more distant than ever before, Steve was about to die but Dustin pulled him back to tell him what he actually felt and he saved him. Later on Steve apologized and told Dustin the truth and that's when they actually resolved their issues.
• Robin and Vickie were in danger at the hospital, their relationship was about to crumble because Robin wasn't telling her the truth. But when she finally did and Vickie believed her after seeing the monsters, and they talked in the laundry room, they were saved. And they also saved their relationship.
• Will said out loud that he's gay, to tell the truth in order not to have secrets that Vecna could use against him (he's not saying the whole truth tho, because he lied about the fact that he's still in love, and that he's in love with Mike)
• Kali is reminding Hopper that he's lying, that he's keeping secrets, she insists that he has to tell the truth.
• Mike tells Jane that friends don't lie, and we know she's hiding the truth about the fact that she plans to sacrifice herself.
• Mike is lying, he's keeping his true feelings a secret from everyone.
The key to defeating Vecna? Telling the truth.
If they want to survive they need to stop lying to each other, they need to be honest about their feelings and about who they really are and what they plan to do.
Mike still needs to be honest, he's hiding his feelings.
Jane and Hopper need to be honest about their plans.
The truth will save them.
