Fabrix of Virtuality -- I wanted to use this project to explore the meeting of the digital and the physical worlds. Depicted is outer space as seen from the inside of a car, a glimpse into the inaccessible world from a familiar, earthly vantage point, illustrated primarily in a green-on-black color palette evocative of old computer visuals. Though it depicts a scene outside of the bounds of reality, this digitally evocative space is composed entirely of thread upon a handwoven screen-black tapestry, its medium and composition together producing a digital space located within our immediate physical environment.
