Why sometimes it gotta be your own people man

First night of a four day stretch and already got into it with one of the charge nurses. Trying to tell mee what to do after id already given report and was omw to clock out. Putting myy license on the line for some opioid thing that’s not even my problem anymore? No thank youuu.

On the bright side, i love having students. It’s a teaching hospital so there’s always a group of nursing students around with their neat little uniforms and eager faces. I got to show them an ng tube insertion today and a wound with deeep deep tunneling. So cute to see their faces asking the same questions i had back then. I love making people feel not stupid when they ask questions. I love validating them and making them feel wanted in these spaces where they feel like they’re a bother.
