Experiencing Experiential Learning

Missing the days of m childhood when I used to play such games. In the Philippines, the childhood games which are highly physically demanding used to be scene of every playgrounds and open parks. In this age of modernization, when everyone is being lured by gadgets and computers, my students relived the good old days of shouts and screams while running for something. 

For I believe, Culture must be evident.

My Performance Task in Geography.

Make your own weather drinks.

The infused water of summer, spring, autumn and winter.

The kids really love working and experimenting with their hands. using the Philippines most available fruits, the groups conceptualized drinks that they will make the fit on a certain season. Challenging, indeed.

Teaching Strategies 101 What makes a strategy effective? 1. It respects individual differences 2. It celebrates student's uniqueness. 3. It sustains interest and develops bond between the learning process and the student. 4. Its is never forceful. 5. It makes the students author of his own learning while learning with his experience, with his peers and with his own will to win.

Being a researcher is a challenging task. You think critically and must be so independent and living away from biases and prejudice. This is my first international engagement. This is my life’s most important turning point.

Here is my K12 Society and Culture Class. In this class, they are using “gallery walk” to present the numerous social problems in the Philippines along with some recommendations on how to resolve it. This is an engaging task in which, there must be 2 expert lecturers per group; one who is in-charge of explaining and the other is in-charge of giving concrete examples. It is an engaging task that trains the students in oral communication. Also, the members who visits each learning stations ask questions to the experts regarding their “gallery”.

Teaching history the best hobby that I have in this life

When i'm bored I go inside the classroom , teach, tell stories and inspire lives.. that's my life as a teacher. Not my work nor my job, nor my profession. Its my mission. :)
