“Did you have a place in mind?,” Sean asked. “Or did you want me to choose a place?”
“I think it’d be nice if you picked this time,” she says, flushing just a little.
“What about Lou Ann’s place?” Sean suggested. “It’s been a while since we’ve been.”
babe, there’s something tragic about you; something so magic about you…
“Is getting mistaken for Candy a good thing?” Sean asked. “Cause if it’s not, we can definitely go somewhere else.”
“It’s funny when Candy’s there, but weird when she’s not,” she admits. “Somewhere else is probably a better idea.”
“Did you have a place in mind?,” Sean asked. “Or did you want me to choose a place?”

Lex doesn’t mean to corner Sean under the mistletoe, he promises – it was a total and complete accident.
But now that they’re here, he’s not entirely sure what to do.
“…So, uh, you might wanna look up?”
irelandsmutantseancassidy:
Sean nodded, smiling a little. “Yeah. Yeah it was. Can I kiss you again?”
Lex flushes. “Yes, absolutely.”
Sean leans in again, wrapping his arms around Lex’s waist and kissing him gently.

“So, you wanna go out for dinner? If we go to Max’s, I might get mistaken for Candy again.”
“Is getting mistaken for Candy a good thing?” Sean asked. “Cause if it’s not, we can definitely go somewhere else.”
Friends who get into trouble sentence starters
“I called someone to bail us out last time. It’s your turn.”
“We probably shouldn’t do this.”
“See you say it’ll be fine? But, something tells me it won’t be.”
“Okay, but they are gonna be so pissed when they see what we did to this place.”
“We probably shouldn’t have tried to surf on the mattress down the stairs..”
“I can’t believe we just prank called him/her. What are we like twelve?”
“Let’s just tell them that the dog did it.”
“I’m picking the lock. But, I just realized that I’m not a detective and this is a hair pin I found in my glovebox.”
“Do you think that alarm means that we’re caught?”
“I’ll fill the bucket with water and you distract him/her while I dump it on their head.”
“This is exactly what we need–a night out. Let’s go crazy!!”
“Honestly, I think the car looks better after we crashed it.”
“I rang this guy/girls doorbell and ran away really fast??? And they found me.”
“Why is there a giant teddy bear wearing lingerie in my bath tub?”
“Oh my god, why is there an unconscious man/woman on the floor?!”
“We were supposed to be cooking. But, it looks like a murder occurred in here.”
“We broke the window. I think someone is going to notice.”
“I can’t believe we’re trying to climb through a window to get back a pair of your panties/underwear.”
“Shh, they’ll hear us. This is a terrible idea. You are lucky I love you.”
“That cop did not find it as funny as we did.”
“I told you not to hum the law and order theme song while we were being given a speeding ticket!!”

“I’m doing alright,” Sean says. “Very glad to see you again.” He hasn’t been lonely with Emma, Angel, and Maeve, but he’s missed Alex and Hank. He thinks it might be time to contact Hank, even if that would mean Charles finding out that he’s alive.
She wants to take his hand. “I – I think it’s still hitting me that you’re real,” she admits. “After all these years.”
Sean nods. “I’ve felt, very guilty, over the years that I never tried to contact you or Hank. I ran into Raven completely by chance several years ago on a trip to London. But I couldn’t-” He sighs. “I don’t want Charles knowing I’m alive. He left me for dead he doesn’t deserve to know that I’m safe. And more than just that, I didn’t want to get dragged back into the whole ‘X-Men’ thing. Though I think it’s safe to say I’m too old for that now.” His health isn’t that great anymore either. It hasn’t been, really, since Trask, but it’s been worse lately.
irelandsmutantseancassidy:
“I think it’s safe to say I haven’t aged quite as well as you have,” Sean says. They’re both approaching forty, but Alex still looks like she’s in her mid twenties.
“Yeah, I’m well preserved,” she admits. “How are you doing?”

“You look fine,” Sean says. Alex hasn’t been entirely successful in getting all her makeup off, but it’s dark out and Sean doesn’t think it will be terribly noticeable. “Now let’s get back to the hotel.”
She nods, and moves to walk at his side. “You know, uh, you look a lot older than me,” she points out, a tad awkwardly.

Sean moves after Alex, though he doesn’t follow her into the alley. “I’ll wait for you here,” he says. He can tell that she’s anxious and Sean thinks that it’s an anxiety that he shares. That if one of them looks away, the other will disappear.
“Okay,” she repeats, and moves behind the dumpster, changing out of her short dress and into the pants and shirt has in her bag. She tries to wipe her makeup off, too, because she has a feeling that that would be even more provocative when she’s dressed like a man. When she thinks she’s ready, she comes out. “…How do I look?”

irelandsmutantseancassidy:
“It might be wise,” Sean says. “I’m not sure how safe the neighborhood my hotel is in is. I don’t want to risk you getting hurt.” He knows Alex can defend herself, he has no doubts of that, but as queer mutants the last thing they need is a scene.
“Okay.” She nods. “There’s an alleyway with a dumpster I can change behind.” She moves toward it, looking back at Sean as she moves.

irelandsmutantseancassidy:
“Alright, then let’s go,” Sean’s about to start walking when he pauses. “Alex, do you have any other clothes to change into?” It’s not that he thinks anything bad about Alex dressing like he… she is or that he doesn’t want to be seen with her, it’s just that Alex will be safer while they’re traveling, if she has men’s clothing to change into.
“In my bag, yeah,” she says, a little nervous. “Should I change?” she asks. Should I hide? is what she really means, but she won’t say that out loud, especially not in public.

irelandsmutantseancassidy:
“I’ve missed you too,” Sean said. “Why don’t we head back to my hotel, unless you need to grab your things from where you’ve been staying first.”
“I don’t exactly have any things,” she admits. The bag over her shoulder has a set of men’s clothes for boy days, but she’s only been here for four days total so far, and she’s been working toward enough money for a hotel room. “So let’s do that.”

all your summers siblings are trans is a simple credo, and one to live your life by imho – and in that vein, allow me to introduce you to a canon-divergent, xmcu-based ALEX “HAVOK” SUMMERS. alex is nonbinary in the same vein as warhol superstar jackie curtis – he/she has ‘girl days’ and ‘boy days,’ and presents accordingly. all visuals come from havok/wolverine: meltdown, because look at this watercolor gorgeousness. alex is played by himself and scarlett/quark, and if you’re interested in make x-men gay again, hit like or reblog and i’ll see what we can come up with!

“Yeah,” Sean said. “We’re all still together. We’ve tried to make a safe house out of my family’s estate. We’ve been looking for mutants with our own Cerebro.” Sean pulls back from the hug a bit. “I’m pretty sure you’re the mutant that set our sensors off. You should come back with me. You don’t have to of course, but…”
“I’d love to,” she said, immediately. “I mean, I don’t – I’ve been living out of motel rooms, and god, I missed you.” She had – in an oddly similar way to how she’d always miss Darwin.
“I’ve missed you too,” Sean said. “Why don’t we head back to my hotel, unless you need to grab your things from where you’ve been staying first.”
