जय भगवति देवि नमो वरदे
जय पापविनाशिनि बहुफलदे ।
जय शुम्भनिशुम्भकपालधरे
प्रणमामि तु देवि नरार्तिहरे ॥१॥
Victory to You Oh Divine Goddess, I bow to You who grants all wishes. Victory to You, who destroy all sins and bestow many fruits. Victory to You, who wear the heads of Demons Shumbha and Nishumbha. I Bow to You Oh Devi, who take away our afflictions.
जय चन्द्रदिवाकरनेत्रधरे
जय पावकभूषितवक्त्रवरे ।
जय भैरवदेहनिलीनपरे
जय अन्धकदैत्यविशोषकरे ॥२॥
Victory to You Oh Devi, who wear the Sun and the Moon as Your eyes. Victory to You, whose beautiful face is like a brilliant flame. Victory to You, who have Bhairava fused into Your body. Victory to You, who withdrew the strength of Demon Andhaka.
जय महिषविमर्दिनि शुलकरे
जय लोकसमस्तकपापहरे ।
जय देवि पितामहविष्णुनते
जय भास्करशक्रशिरोऽवनते ॥३॥
Victory to You, who slayed the Demon Mahishasura with Your Trident.
Victory to You, who remove the sins in all the worlds. Victory to You Oh Devi, to whom Brahma and Vishnu bow down. Victory to You, to whom Sun and the other Gods bow down.
जय षण्मुखसायुध ईशनुते
जय सागरगामिनि शम्भुनुते
जय दुःखदरिद्रविनाशकरे
जय पुत्रकलत्रविवृद्धिकरे ॥४॥
jaya ṣaṇmukhasāyudha īśanute
jaya sāgaragāmini śambhunute
jaya duḥkhadaridravināśakare
jaya putrakalatravivṛddhikare ||4||
Victory to You Oh Devi, who are praised by the six-faced Kartikeya adorned with various weapons. Victory to You, who are flowing towards the ocean in the form of the river Ganga, and are praised by Lord Shiva. Victory to You, who destroy all sorrows and poverty. Victory to You, who increase the bliss of the family.
जय देवि समस्तशरीरधरे
जय नाकविदर्शिनि दुःखहरे ।
जय व्याधिविनाशिनि मोक्षकरे
जय वाञ्छितदायिनि सिद्धिवरे ॥५॥
Victory to You Oh Devi, who reside in all bodies. Victory to You, who show us the heaven, who destroys our sorrow. Victory to You, who destroy all the obstacles and grant liberation. Victory to You, who grant all wishes and lead us to perfection.
एतद्व्यासकृतं स्तोत्रं
यः पठेन्नियतः शुचि ।
गृहे वा शुद्धभावेन
प्रीता भगवती सदा ॥६॥
This Hymn is composed by Sage Vyasa. Whoever recites this Stotram regularly, with clean mind and body, in their home or anywhere, with pure devotion, will always please the Goddess Bhagavati.
