the mom friend of mom friends. isabella is the worrywart of the group, the one to say “please don’t do that, you’ll get hurt” and “I’m not sue if this is a good idea, guys...”

her favorite way to unwind is taking a nice hot bubble bath with a sudoku book, followed by a classic romcom in comfy pjs. complete with her favorite snacks, of course. bella definitely isn’t the party type, she’s not going to clubs or bars unless she’s asked.

her favorite color is yellow... of course.

very detail oriented. great for school, but also causes unnecessary stress.

the woman is organized to a fault. she doesn’t mind a mess in someone else’s house, but her room has to be spotless. if so much as a pen is missing or a paper is in the wrong folder, you’d think it was the end of the world.

she’s a morning person through and through. ya girl can’t hang. if she’s at a sleepover, she’s the first one out. unless she’s playing designated driver or has some other reason to be out after dark, she’s asleep before eight pm every single night, and up at daybreak, no alarm needed.

but she still sets six, because... what if?

though one to look on the bright side, her mind is always in what if mode. when it comes to doing dangerous or against the rules, she has a lot of trouble calming her heart rate. she’s a by-the-book person, and isn’t a huge fan of spontaneous adventures.

“gave me a little scrape on the cheek, right there.” he points right below his left eye, recounting the memory, before his eyes widened and he was quick to reassure her, not wanting her to worry for him, even though it was clear this was literal years ago and he was fine now. “b-but i’m okay, now, fine, you see?” he points at the spot once more, as if to prove the point. he shrugs bashfully as she tries to offer some comfort. “yeah, well, you’d be surprised by how many times it still happens to me.” he scrunches his face up a bit at that, making a face before it cracks into a lingering smile at her next words. “…that depends, how long ago was this…?” he tilts his head a little, teasing her gently and praying that she didn’t take it seriously. @iridescentbella

“Well, I’m so glad you’re okay!” She knew that she worried too much, he was obviously not suffering any long term injuries from a little fall. Isabella got so anxious over her friends getting hurt, she couldn’t imagine having a child. She’d probably have to force them to waddle around in a helmet and bubble wrap to avoid losing her mind. “You don’t wanna know,” Isabella laughed. For someone that was both smart and overly cautious, one might think she’d notice a door directly in front of her. “Let’s just forget I brought it up.”

“You’re right, I believe that wholeheartedly.” For the most part. Isabella loved calm, and she couldn’t say she was calm in all situations, but she also loved bright and kind, and she strived to be that. “I think the people you surround yourself with can make all the difference.”

Colin knew she already mentioned their trip being a surprise, but he couldn’t help but try to ask again, in hopes that maybe Isabella would slip up on the secret. After a moment, she revealed where they were headed, and a smile formed. “Oh, nice! Do you know which one?” He asked excitedly. Anything about food typically brought up his spirits, it was the inner chef in him. “Deal, I’m already excited. I’ve been needing to try something new lately.” @iridescentbella​

Even if Isabella was trying to branch out, she still had to know exactly what was going on. She couldn’t just go into a restaurant and order something off the menu without knowing all of the ingredients that came in it. She just liked to be prepared, so sue her. “It’s the garlic parmesan sauce with spinach and pineapple,” she informed him. “If you want different toppings, we can split the pizza down the middle. I love the sauce, but I’ve never mixed it with spinach or pineapple, so we are just gonna try it and hope for the best.”

“I told you, it’s a surprise,” Isabella teased, but she gave in with a quick grin. She couldn’t blame him for asking, she wasn’t a fan of surprises herself. Something small was fine, a sweet treat for lunch or a visit from a friend, but something like a surprise party would send her into a frenzy. She wanted to be in the know. All the time. To the point it was actually a little bit of a problem. “Emilio’s Pizza, I heard about a recipe I haven’t tried. You’ve gotta be the taste-tester with me. So if I don’t like it, you can gobble it up and I can order my regular.”

“Did you get hurt?” It was the first question on her mind, leave it to Isabella to go into mom mode the moment someone mentioned falling, even if it was a memory from years passed. “I hope you didn’t feel too embarrassed, it happens! You should’ve seen me walk straight into the glass doors at the mall. Everyone was watching. It made a thud!”

“I don’t think it’s silly,” Perie says. “I know that writing things down definitely helps me. I’m more of a visual learner. And remember-er, I guess.” she sketches a few more lines in her sketchbook. “I haven’t really thought of too many. Uh… I guess I could try to be more outgoing? That’s something I need to work on. Is that what resolutions are supposed to be? Things you want to work on about yourself, or are they like… bucket list things? Or both?”

“It helps,” Isabella nodded in agreement, glad that she wasn’t judging her, at least. She loved a good list. Pros and cons, to-dos, meal plans, all of them. “That’s a good one.” That was probably something she could work on, too. She was fairly social, but she could be less anxious about making new friends, for sure. “I think they can be either. I usually base them around goals that I can work towards, but there aren’t any rules.”

Michelle sighed longingly at the sprite in front of her. With a cheek planted in her hand and her lips buzzing as she pouted. “I get new year , new me - but I really shouldn’t have told myself I could cut out soda and just be healthy go lucky me. I mean I know this is good for me, and they have sparkling waters that are suppose to taste like this.. but it’s not the same.” Laughing a little to herself she tore her eyes away from the soda and then back to her friend. “What about you? She laughed with her friend as she mentioned how much she hated the change she was making in her life. “I told myself I wasn’t going to make any because it’s too stressful to keep up with...” Isabella trailed off, bringing her own soda to her lips. That one didn’t make her list of resolutions. There was nothing wild there, she kept it simple this year. “But you know me. I like organization too much.”

“Are you feeling as out of place as I am?” Bella asked, not because he looked uncomfortable, necessarily, but because she knew if anyone would relate, it was Cooper. She wouldn’t be quite as on edge if not for the Halloween party just two months ago. She didn’t want to go another night not being able to go back home to her bed, awake until the sun rose. It had been horrible. She wasn’t sure her poor little heart could handle a repeat of that. “I know I’m sounding like a grandma right now,” she attempted to joke, “but I’m usually asleep for hours by the time midnight rolls around.”

Isabella felt pretty out of place. She was all for a good party, but the large crowds made her nervous. She’d rather spend the evening hanging out with her close friends. The drink she had took the edge off, but she’d also prefer a cup of wine and a nice hot bath. She didn’t realize she was zoning out a bit until she met the other girl’s eyes, her cheeks immediately growing warm. “I’m so sorry I was staring, you’re just so pretty!” She attempted to explain, probably making an even bigger fool of herself.

“I know it’s silly, but I feel like I need to make a list,” Isabella admitted, chewing on the end of her pen as she thought over number four. So far she had don’t worry so much (quite a task for her), say yes more and create something beautiful. She knew that people could change all throughout the year, and a new one wasn’t an excuse to do better, but if she was being honest, she just liked the organization. “Do you have any resolutions?”

“Be honest with me, do you think I overdo the yellow?” Isabella only just realized, looking over all of her dresses, how many of them were her favorite color. There was nothing wrong with wearing what she loved, of course, but she was starting to wonder if there were any event pictures of her out there wearing any other colors. Turning to Rosie, she pulled her bottom lip between her teeth, chewing it in thought. It sure was a good thing her best friend was always around to help her throw outfits together. “Maybe I should wear something less... vivid tonight?”

it was one of those rare days in which nolan didn’t have much going on, no real plans, and he was on his way to get a coffee. he heard a whining in the distance, being a curious person by nature, he followed the sound. now he wish he kinda hadn’t because he was stuck with an animal in his arms. although nolan could’ve just walked away, he also could never do that, plus, part of him honestly wanted this to be a stray he could take home. he was sure his roommates wouldn’t mind, but he still had to do his part to try and find their owner. ‘hey, is this yours? i found them crying and now every time i try to put them down… they cry. not in pain, but more in a whininess like they are either missing their home.”

Isabella’s smile at seeing Nolan quickly melted into an expression of worry, reaching out to give the lost pet a gentle pat on the head. “Oh, poor baby,” she cooed, shaking her head. “Not mine. Adorable, though. You think they just got loose?” It was a sad thought, but less sad than someone deciding to abandoning the animal. She wished she knew how to help, but unfortunately, she wasn’t the go-to when it came to four legged creatures. “Where’s Faye when you need them?”

“I don’t know when it completely clicked for me what was going on. At first it seemed so coincidental. Now it’s hard to imagine life without it, isn’t it?” She didn’t think she would be the same person if not for the light she held inside of her. “I didn’t even appreciate my talent at first,” Isabella admitted. “I thought it was kind of lame... and useless, as sad as that is. It didn’t seem like it could help anyone. Tiara is actually the one that made me realize it’s something to be proud of.”

Climbing a tree wasn’t the worst idea, she had to admit. It could even be relaxing sitting on a sturdy branch and looking out at the world. They had the right idea. But somehow she didn’t trust Peter to not topple down and break a bone... and of course he’d chosen the most dizzying height. Even looking up stressed her out. “I don’t want to climb in a tree, Peter.” She couldn’t help but wonder how she’d gotten herself into playing babysitter. Peter was an adult, they could handle this, but here she was worrying. She couldn’t make herself walk away until he was back on solid ground... which was probably going to take a lot more convincing. “Will you please get down before we have to make an ER trip?”

Gardening was actually something that Rapunzel had picked up in the tower, attempting to grow her own potted plants quite often. Sometimes, the way the sunlight hit the window made it hard for things to grow, but she was still passionate about having something living in the tower with her to keep her company, in a way. “Really? That’s so cool, I’ve been trying to start my own garden at home, but I’m not that experienced with such a large space to work with.” Now that she had a yard, the possibilities were endless. “What’s your main passion, then, if it’s not gardening?”

“You should do it! What are you wanting to plant?” She wasn’t as much of an expert as Rosie was, but she was willing to give the other girl some advice if she had any. She had definitely picked up some tips and tricks over the years, both for vegetables and flowers. “You’re gonna think I’m a nerd,” Bella laughed. She knew she was, and she was fine with it. Being smart was not something to be ashamed of, even if it made her uncool. “I’m really into tech.”

Cubby was needing some voices of reason, which was why he felt comfortable going to some of Tiara’s friends for advice and a shoulder to lean on. “But what if I wait too long?” He asked, looking toward Bella. It ran through his head what Peter had said to him when they finally talked — All is fair in love and war. Cubby knew that meant that Peter wasn’t going anywhere. He didn’t want to compete with him, to feel like he was racing to win the girl of his dreams, but was that all he really could do? “Yeah .. I just don’t want to make the wrong move.” He smiled. “I can’t disagree with that. I just hope it all works out somehow in the end, for all of us.” @iridescentbella​

“Why are you waiting?” Isabella wondered aloud. “What’s holding you back?” She knew that it wasn’t as easy as just going for it, but the truth was sometimes that was all you could do. “Yes or no... isn’t it better to know? I know it sounds cliché, but if it’s meant to be, it will be. Sometimes the things we want aren’t what’s best for us.” It was a hard pill to swallow, she knew that all too well. “I really believe you’ll get what’s best for you. You deserve it.”
