This game is gorgeous. This game is different. This game is nothing more than it claims to be. And the critics are naturally complaining about it, attempting to seem professional and objective, when their statements are in fact based in subjective bias...
Why?
Because this game isn't the next Yoshi's Island… That's why. These reviews are made by people in their late 30s and 40s, stuck in the past, expecting that every Yoshi game that comes from Nintendo must be a reiteration of Yoshi's Island, as though Nintendo has not already made seven of those to this date...
But...
There are still some of you who are approaching this game with a less entitled mindset, who are genuinely eager to explore this new game for the sake of the experience itself. And this game is made for you… It was not made for the critics. The critics only want their next recycled Yoshi's Island clone… They will complain every single time something dares to digress. However, should that imply a need to fear innovation?
Enjoy this game for what it is, and remember why video games exist.
