*frowns* I'm sorry. Anything I can do?
A cold is nothing, the stomach flu is terrible.
Oh yeah. I had it once when I was little. That was bad....
It really is.
Especially when it's a cold and you have to wait for it to go away.
Long time no see... || Kaden && Iris
Kaden missed his little Ri. It killed him when his mother abandon her. Him and his brothers did everything they could to take Iris and Benji with them. They even ran away one night but was quickly caught by the police. His mother was furious. She punished the boys severely and they never tried it again. The boys all pretended to move on but on the inside they all longed for their little siblings. Kaden felt as if he had failed as an older brother. He had always been there for his siblings. He toughened up his little brothers and then when Iris came along, the 3 boys did everything to protect her. Kaden would always be there for her when she needed him. Kaden can’t tell you how many boys he beat up for bothering his sister. He was her bodyguard. Her protector. And he abandon her,
Kaden stood outside Iris’s door for a long while. He stared at the door for a long, long time. He replays what he wants to say when she opens the door. “Hey Iris. I’m sorry.” He mummers to himself. “No. That’s stupid.” He sighs and runs his fingers through his hair. “Oh fuck it.” He says as he takes a deep breath and knocks on the door, waiting for her to answer.
Iris is sitting in the kitchen with Benji, enjoying some breakfast with him before school. She hopes he doesn't notice her uneasiness as she remembers her dream last night. She had a dream about her older half brothers. Iris can't help but feel a stab of pain as she thinks of them. 'They abandon me.' Iris thinks acidly. The pain suddenly turns to rage. 'They told me they would always be there....' The rage turns back to intense pain. 'I shouldn't be surprised.' She thinks, playing with the cereal in her bowl. 'Everyone always leaves...' Iris loses herself in memories of her life before her parents died for a moment when a knock on the door snaps her out of it.
Benji is getting out of his seat before Iris jumps up. "I got it." She says, giving her brother a smile and ruffling his hair. He sits back down and smiles back. "Okay." He says. Iris makes her way to the door. She is expecting it to be cops because they are the only ones who ever come over. But when Iris opens the door, she feels exactly like she did when she saw Nic's dead body outside. But suddenly, all her rage sharpens into a fine point and she stands up straight and glares at her older brother. And right when he open his mouth to say something, Iris cuts him off. "Kaden, get the fuck out of her." She says bitterly. "What clicked in your goddamn mind that made you think I want to see you." She spat.
I hate this fucking town. Someone stole my phone. Wait…Nope, it was in my back pocket. Everything is cool.
Silly...
I thought it was about time I made an appearance.
Keira darling!
I hate being sick.
Agreed. It's the worst.
Alcohol cures everything.
He scrunched up his nose and shook his head. “Nah, let’s find something else to do.” He chuckled and looked over at her. “What’s next on your list of fun things to do?”
Iris smiles. "Ummmm." She says while thinking. She runs her fingers through the hair. "I don't know what to do." She confesses. "Why don't you chose?" She asks. "I'm fine with anything."
Alcohol cures everything.
Lyle definitely wasn’t focused enough to be playing video games, his mind kept wandering and he knew that he was going to get his ass beat. After the fifteen minutes were up, he put his controller down and sighed. “Not fair.” He pouted and looked over at Iris who had a smirk on her face.
Iris giggles when he pouts. She leans over and taps his nose, which is something she hasn't done in a long time, and says, "All's fair in love and war." She says with a soft smile. "Wanna go again?"
Alcohol cures everything.
Lyle gave her a small smile back. “You might be good, but I’m almost positive that I’m better than you.” He replied and fixated his attention to the game in front of him. He was actually having fun hanging out with Iris after that whole awkward conversation. Now he was starting to relax and enjoy himself.
Iris started the game. "Prepare to have your ass kicked." She says. She had timed the games as 15 minutes long and 50 points to win. 15 minutes later, Iris throws her hands up. "Ha! I won!" She says with a smirk. "Told you I was good."
Alcohol cures everything.
He shrugged. “True, it makes sense.” He raised his eyebrows at her and scoffed. “Yeah okay.”
Iris grins at him. "I'm pretty good. I'm just going to warn you now." She looks away from him and back to the screen as she sets up a private game. She is really enjoying Lyle's company. She hasn't smiled her real smile this many times in a long time.

"Video games." He nodded. "You definitely know your stuff, that’s for sure." Lyle laughed and took his shoes off, before getting comfortable on the couch, a little excited about playing video games because there wasn’t going to much talking. He wasn’t trying to be mean, he just didn’t want to say the wrong thing to the blonde.
Iris smiles as she gets the controllers. "I grew up in a house of boys, what do you expect?" She walks back over to the couch and hands him his remote. "We're playing Halo by the way. Prepare to get your ass kicked." She says, with a smirk.
Alcohol cures everything.
Lyle shrugged his shoulders and furrowed his eyebrows while he thought about what the two could do. He came up with nothing because he was really bad at these things. “I don’t care, this is to make you feel better so I’m good with anything.” He smiled at her and ran a hand through his curls.
Iris thought while she ate her apple. She smiles then and gets off the couch. Placing her apple core on the coffee table, she walks over to the TV. "How about a little video games." She asks, turning around to look at him. "No guy I know says no to video games." She says with a small smirk.
Alcohol cures everything.
I’ve always wanted one.
I aim to please.
