Hello and WELCOME to The BLOG.

This is a side blog directed to my Zim/Irken kintype and where I just kinda ramble, share aesthetic stuff, and is just a place for myself. Before interacting/following/ect, please be sure to read this pinned post. Gets stuff out of the way.

-Just call me 'ZIM' on here.

-I am 30+ years old as of writing this. If you are a minor and do not wish to interact with adults my age, then please consider that before you follow me.

-This is a side blog, so I don't do return follows on here.

-I am autistic and I have some nasty anxiety.

-I am genderfluid, but I prefer to be referred to by He/Him on this blog.

-I do not fandom tag. I don't want my posts mixing into the fandom.

-This blog does NOT support ZaDr or other ships.

-This blog is LGBTQ+ safe.

-This blog is strictly otherkin/Fictionkin/Alterhuman-only. I won’t indulge in off-topic stuff

About

So this is a side blog to another otherkin blog I have that I frankly don't use much anymore. I wanted to make this blog with the final acceptance of this part of me. This has been an underlying part of who I am since I was very young and has just recently came around once again now that I finally understand fictionkin, otherkin, alterhuman, ect.

I visually stim, so I often use personally-made icons, create aesthetic boards, ect to decorate my blog and posts with. So that's why the icons are here. I use colored text, as well.

Also, no. I am not going to type like I'm trying to RP ZIM because that's not what I'm doing here. So NO HYPER ALL-CAPS, NONSTOP TALKING LIKE THIS. That, and I know typing like that is frankly unpleasant to some people.

Lastly, I do tag such as basic 'Fictionkin' 'Otherkin' 'tw: -whatever-' for major/common triggers, but otherwise I just can't keep up with each individual trigger or tagging needs of anyone and everyone following me. I don't see myself posting anything that might need special tags anyway, but do be warned and proceed with caution because I may not tag individual preferences (phobias and stuff like that).

This is basically just a list of "Hey, please don't do/say this stuff or just don't interact at all if you fall into/do any of these.

-Send hate or just be plain unpleasant. If you don't support the alterhuman/fictionkin/otherkin/ect communities, then just move on please. Don't waste both of our time by sending hateful and rude messages that I'm just gonna end up ignoring and deleting anyway.

-Call me 'Kinnie'. Just...please don't.

-Call out "non-canon" posts or information I share. My experience won't be the same as another persons and it probably doesn't follow the series canon the way you know it.

Checking the nonhuman tag right now and uh. Hey kids, being fictionkin does not make it ok to repost uncredited fanart. I don't care if it's art of you. It's very disrespectful to the artists who spent hours drawing that piece for you to just rip it off their page and slap it on a moodboard or whatever the fuck.

I have had rapid shifts between one dragonkin and two fictionkin-types (Zim, of course!) lately. Like, it's messing with my head and sometimes I almost don't even know what shift is what because it starts to blend too much.

Being polykin can be a real pain when your main kintype is an animal (light fury in my case), but you also have shifts of a more intelligent kintype (Zim) and these shifts mash together so you're just confused like "I feel like running on all four, cat-dragon-purring, and pouncing on things, but I am also a superior alien being with technology and analyzing and STUFF."

My shifts are pulling me on both sides like two kids fighting over the same toy.

I had untreated anxiety in my media, I have untreated anxiety now...

This alien just wants a mental vacation sometimes.

My fellow fictionkin, mostly those who are from some form of animated series: How do you picture yourself, envision your shifts, or see your memories as? Do you see yourself in the animated style your media source is? Do you see it in a different art style? Do you see yourself in a "realistic" form? I'm curious!

As for myself, I see myself in a different art style from my source, which is interesting. I've recently started drawing myself more in the "style" I see myself as and it's felt nice.

For me, missing a different state of existence is like missing a childhood long past. The memories and feelings are there and you can go back and visit them at any point, relive them, and even make attempts to get those old feelings back, but it'll never be the same. You can never truly go back to those moments and relive them as the were back then, and I find it kinda sad.

I'm sure this sounds kinda silly to some, but I genuinely miss being an alien on Earth that's just trying to do his job and having misadventures and just learning everything all the time. I watch my media source often and it's like watching an old VHS tape of when I was a kid. Yeah, I miss that filthy life of mine.

Being fictionkin is interesting when you get to see how people interpret you in media and other stuff.

Not having my PAK feels so wrong and is so annoying. There's so many benefits of having one. Yeah, I don't need one to live now, but there's more pros to cons in having one.

Not having what was technically you is.....bleh.

So for anyone alienkin, an alien fictionkin of anything, or just anything non-Earth bound, what do you miss or really connect to the most?

Your home planet, space itself, or the Earth.

I never find myself actually reminiscing over Irk, but what I really wish I had was that easy way to just...leave. Wanna go to the moon? Mars? Outside of the Solar System? Anywhere that's just not here? Get in your spaceship. It's as easy as getting into a car and driving to the store because you wanted a soda or something.

The fact that this just isn't possible now leaves me feeling almost stranded. All of that space, those planets, the stars, and so much more and I can't just fly out there and touch them. The closest I'll ever get are pictures on the internet or some glimpses of nearby stuff if I pull out the old telescope.

I think one of the most frustrating things about being non-human is the fact that I always feel like I'm in my human disguise, only the catch is that I can't take it off. At all. It's stuck. Some days are fine, but other days I feel all icky in my own skin.
