I think Karma is a person's deeds and actions, and these result in consequences. Not necessarily good or evil, but simply as a sum of consequences.
If we think along the lines of "deserved" when it comes to actions, mistreatmentments of others and what not in our lives, we then limit our chance of growth and evolution as a human being.
In the Stoic sense, life is not about what is happening but how we respond.
