The man in the photograph sent shivers down Damien’s spine. That wasn’t the same man that stared back at him from the mirror. That was a man who had the world in his arms and hope on his mind. The man in the mirror only looked at the things he should be doing and stopped looking after it was done. The man in the picture looked forward to the end of the day, when he and Adele came together again, and his mind was always refreshed by their ideas of the life they’d build side by side.

Summary: Five months into the zombie apocalypse, the Knope-Wyatt triplets and their parents are forced to travel miles by foot to reunite with one another.

WIP Acrostic Tag
I can across this game in my feed and wanted to try it for myself. The rules are simple: you are given a word and you must find one sentence in a current WIP of yours that begins with each letter in said word. The word given at the end of the post by the OP was WASTE:
When it was day time, the man from the mirror only looked for the end of it, and when it was night, he spent no more time looking.
All that mattered was the sound of wheels scraping against a smooth bend in the concrete beneath her.
She stood her ground with both fists curled, her face scrunched up in concentration, as the silver tendril gained on her closer and closer.
They talk animatedly, laughter springing up every few seconds— unhindered and free.
Every word tasted like fire, and the heat in her throat subsided as she used up its fuel.

Main Character: Greysius Ignotti Fandom: Original Work Summary: Greysius and Eita, two soldiers for the great nation of Cormania and natives to the planet Yltura, had been flung out of their solar system to a different spiral arm of the Andromeda galaxy. They land on a planet called If-r'synia, devise a plan to steal a shuttle and escape, and ultimately achieve it... narrowly. Finally airborne and leaving the atmosphere, Greysius' frazzled (alien) nervous system is starting to recover and the fear it had been expertly holding at bay comes crashing over him now, thrusting him into a memory of his childhood.
