Update on the 40k series from Amazon. Mike Flanagan, of The Haunting and Midnight Mass fame, is involved now.
An Age of Sigmar short is slated for Season 2 of Secret Levels
And Studio Blur is working on a Deathwatch series written by John Orloff one of the writers of Band of Brothers.
Can't get that excited since it's been so long now and we've been getting updates like this yearly, and still no REAL movement it seems.
This is painful. John Blanche has passed on.
Games Workshop and Warhammer would be nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, without him.
He was the beating heart of GW's worlds, made theses little toy games feel like they had a whole universe behind them.
His body of work is STAGGERING, and the amount detail he packed into each piece truly dwarfed the game itself.

Kinda fuels my theory that AOS (and probably more in TOW) are going to be adding "furries of order" and similar things, rather then having the majority of "Beastsmen" be Chaos.
I could see similar warriors to these Tigerfolk showing up in Kurnothi units for Cities and Sylveneth, for instance .
I don't see them going as far as making them full order, but I keep thinking they could get repurposed to be a Destruction faction. That would open them up to be more like Ogors, where they are a mercenary race that works for Chaos and Order equally, while also having the option to run armies of just their own stuff.

City of Ash is likely the confirmation that GW has moved on from Warcry, making Spearhead the new "entry level"/skirmish version of AOS.
Yeah once is "hmm that's odd." Twice is oh it's over OVER.
See some people rumour mongering about an "Age of Sigmar End Times", but it feels more like the transition from 40k 7th to 8th. Probably some lore adjustments, perhaps some big changes in rules too, but in all I don't think we are "end times".
We will see, but sounding the "disaster alarms" feels a tad to soon.
Ignoring that the rumor reads like bad fanfiction by a still-holding-a-grudge WFB fan. I don't think, as thick-headed as GW can be sometimes, they are dumb enough to kill a game selling equal to 40k. Only to then try and revive it as "I can't believe it's not the Old World." for some reason.
Hell we still have multiple armies waiting for a release.
Now, a dramatic change in the current plot? Yeah probably. Maybe some lore tweaks so they can start bringing in more order human factions like the Cathayan Dragons or the Bretonnians (AoS versions, of course).

ngl, I have no evidence, but I'm 100% certain this is the main reason why they are having trouble getting the live-action Amazon Warhammer show off the ground.

Not gonna lie, the last thing I expected GW to add (by extension) to Warhammer Fantasy is cat people. I do not mind the slightest though.
I'm sure there will be some wailing and gnashing of teeth. But probably not that much.
Wonder how long until the tabletop versions are announced.
They've been mentioned before, mostly in background text and lore related to Ind. Though them being a firmly Order faction is a surprise. As is them being revealed for Cathay and not Ind. Probably confirms we won't see Ind least not in TW:W3.
Wonder what this means for the Monkey Men, as they also tend to flip-flop between Order/Chaos.
Only a full more hours till showtime. Here we are at the end of the season, will it stick the landing? Or fall apart at the very end? Either way I still got predictions:
Opening is the Legion finishing up its civil war, with Legate Kevin taking command and leading a charge on the Mojave Wasteland. Possibly, he'll learn about the existence of the Automated man.
Cooper flashbacks this season end with him and Barbara divorcing (or going to divorce). Basically just wrap up and setting Cooper on the path he's on to where we see him at the beginning of episode 1. Having money trouble but blissfully unaware and content.
Maximus continues fighting the Deathclaws with Thaddeus, convincing the Freeside residents to help him out. Something will be wrong with House and he'll decay throughout the episode.
Stephanie unleashes a version FEV on the Vault, in an attempt to regain control.
The Legion marching on Vegas may be the teaser for next season. I also feel like they could be wrapped up in the episode pretty quickly. With reinforcements coming from either the NCR or Brotherhood of Steel.
Hank is mulling over mind-wiping Lucy, but ends up not going through with it. His handler at the Enclave will possibly either dispose of him or warn that he's coming to steal cold fusion and the mind control devices back.
Either way, setup for next season will be the Enclave as the big bad for the rest of the series.
If the end credits aren't a new location out East, then it will be the destroyed Hoover Dam. We get a post-credits tease from Yes Man. Who is actually pretending to be Mr.House.

I personally think that when Cooper goes to find Barb and Janey, he's not going to tell them who he is. He's going to take one look at himself in the reflection of their cryopods and realize that they'd be better off not knowing the man he's become. However, Barb would just barely recognize him. Like what her actress has said in interviews, I also think she would recognize his eyes but wouldn't be able to pinpoint why they're so familiar and comforting to her.
I sortof wished they emphasized more that Cooper's mission is also a "What happens after you find them?" type of situation exactly like Lucy. No home/friends/allies so if he finds his family at the end what happens? Does he bring them with him? What happens when less than a few hours he does something gleefully violent in front of Janey?
His response would be something vague like Lucy's "bring him to justice" comment towards her dad. It's just interesting that Cooper and Lucy, at the beginning of the season, both have the same naive notion that they'll deal with what happens next after they find her dad/his family. Partly because they have nothing else but the mission.
OK so apparently the episodes are dropping early tonight INSTEAD of their previous times. So early edition of late night predictions.
Our tin man, cowardly lion, and scarecrow…I mean Maximus, Thaddeus, and Cooper catch each other up on what's been going on (as well as summarize everything that's happened this season up until this point)
After some brief tension, the trio starts formulating a plan to take out the deathclaws and meet with Hank for a trade. Cooper demands to hold on to the Cold Fusion as he thinks he can use it as another bargaining chip, but he only lets Max and Thaddeus as far in as dealing with Deathclaws.
Meanwhile, Lucy is stuck in the Vault stil,l but pretending to adjust back to being the perfect daughter for Hank.
She's actually there to try and figure out what her father is hoping to achieve with the automated man project and, more importantly, who he's answering to. We're going to see how Hank is tied to FEV, and that's probably the safe box that Stephanie wants from Betty. Betty gives her the box, but things start falling apart pretty quickly. Maybe poor Chet is the first victim.
The trade-off in the flashback is Cooper meeting with the Congresswoman, his logic being that out of the groups he's met, she's seemingly the most benevolent. It'll turn out that she's either A) already with the Enclave, just an anti-corpo side of the faction or B) The Enclave kills her off with little effort. Hoping for A since I think it would be nice to give the Enclave a little bit of depth pre-war. At that point, they had a hand in every group. Which might tie into their master plan for the series: they can't purge the wasteland of these groups, but they can control them if they infiltrate them.
I think the trade-off is where we'll probably wrap up the Flashback, at least as far as the Pre-War stuff is concerned. Cooper and Barbara never recover and file for divorce pretty quickly. Cooper stops working for Vault Tec and is replaced by the Vault Boy we all know. It also explains why Cooper seems content (poor but content) when we see him at the beginning of episode 1. He thinks that passing off the Cold Fusion to a greater power was a good thing that has slowed down the apocalypse.
Norm is the only big question mark for me rn, not sure why the murder Bud would leave him alive. Unless it's another showing of how incompetent the Buds are, can't even properly kill someone.
Regardless, since the Buds think that Norm is dead, they start questioning who is in charge, which leads to an argument that angers the Radroaches in the building. Norm possibly hears his father on the radio and begins trying to reach him. Maybe he gets Lucy instead, which is what motivates her to start trying to escape the Vault.
Episode ends on the march to the Strip where Max and the Deathclaw start duking it out, with that fight finishing next episode.
Future theory: Hank is going to be the "bad guy that gets talked down" before getting taken out by his boss. Possibly next episode. The big reveal in the series finale will be the greater remnants of the NCR and the Legion on the move now that the BoS are in complete chaos.

There's more than a few connections that make me go "huh, did someone have some thoughts about the Star Wars sequels?" :D
There was a heroic rising republic that was destroyed in a single blow, now the rest of the world drifts around without hope.
Our main heroine is a young woman, smart and talented, but naive to the greater world around her. (as well as the state of things) One lead is involved with a cult of armored warriors rising from the ruins, but in reality, they are just a bunch of frat boys playing with power and lives. Hell, one of our leads is trying to turn our naive heroine over to the "Dark side" for reasons that the fanbase assumes are romantic in nature. (welcome back reylo)
If we're going to compare Lucy to Rey, Lucy's search for her father resembles Rey's search for Luke. And by extension, Norm's trip to Vault 31 and his encounter with Bud Askins resembles Luke's trip to Dagobah. But like, written from the perspective of somebody really committed to the idea that we shouldn't romanticize or revive dead institutions.
(It's also very interesting how Norm escapes the guy who's trying to make him crawl into his father's pod, finds himself in a desert, and his immediate thought is that the desert is beautiful.)
Obviously its not 1:1 on all front and the current season branches out quite a bit but the gist of it is there. Mostly because it is the same concept of taking a universe and resetting it back to basics. Fallout has an easier time due to having more factions to play with and the general post apocalyptic setting.
That bit with Norm calling the wasteland beautiful reminded me a bit of the scene where Rey sees Rain for the first time. Same vibes.

We're in uncharted territory now, three episodes left and not a whole lot of preview content to go off of. Episode 6 will be mostly recovery after the ending of last episode but I do expect them to keep the reveals going so I expect a lot more surprises waiting for us.
Three episodes left, here's the late night predictions:
We last left off with Cooper kebab'd on a pole outside the Atomic Wrangler and in need of a rescue. The episode will start with this recap before moving back into the flashback at the Lucky 38. Barbara tries to come clean but still keeps it vague, we start getting our proper Enclave setup here. Cooper is stuck on the pole late into the night, where he's eventually rescued by a stranger.
Lucy, meanwhile, will be safe(ish) with her father, who will spend the entire episode trying to win her over to his side (yes, I saw the preview). The NCR/Legion display will fail spectacularly, which Hank will play off to Lucy's horrified reaction.
We catch back up with Maximus and Thaddeus, still fleeing the BoS civil war and trying to figure out what to do now. My guess is they arrive at one of the former NCR outposts, probably Camp Forlorn Hope or Camp Golf.
Vault 33 continues to descend in anarchy as they keep throwing lavish, snack-filled parties. Betty finally puts a stop to it with the security team, maybe ending in the death of Reg?
For Norm, we see that the Assassin Bud is trying to dispose of the body, possibly into the Radroach cage. He messes up and we see the Radroachs start to escape.
The episode ends with the reveal of who rescued Cooper, a friendly ghoul or Super Mutant. AKA the mysterious gruff voice we hear in the trailer warning him of an oncoming war.
No more theories tonight.
Well, we're officially halfway through. Some general unorganized musings, before the predictions:
My overall thoughts are positive with some issues I know they probably won't resolve this season but maybe next? Some of the pacing has felt a bit off. Feels like they thought they were going to do a big drop of all episodes like last time and they built the show around that instead of the once a week we're currently getting.
The SFX pretty great this season, the creature stuff in particular is really fantastic. The action is still sort of a mixed bag, nothing really stand out. Lucy vs the Kings was fun, as was the Radscorpion fight. But the BoS vs Securitron fight was pretty weak.
As a follow up to FNV I'm having fun with it overall, but I do think part of why I enjoyed the Vegas setting was the thriving factions preparing for a major battle. Now reasonably they are following up on the stuff that FNV setup that each faction was living on borrowed time but a dead Vegas isn't really interesting. Just another wasteland spot.
Now onto predictions:
Opens with our Deathclaw fight/escape scene. I expect most of the episode will be Lucy/Cooper. They'll regroup at Freeside, where they'll learn what happened to Vegas. We might get a cameo or two from some FNV favorites. Mostly, the joke characters like Fisto.
Cooper reveals that he has no idea how to solve the Deathclaw issue so him and Lucy go on a booze/drug-filled bender. The bit with him staring at the mirror will transition to the flashback (one more failure at the Lucky 38)
This will be the last of the flashbacks. The big thing being House's confrontation with Cooper; he can't go through with it (obviously), which is where Cooper actually falls into addiction.
Cooper and Lucy have a breakup. I think Hank will send a messenger to try and get Cooper to hand over Lucy in exchange for info for his family. Yeah, I'm basic, but I think thats the most obvious place it can go. He accepts, but Lucy doesn't.
Nothing with Max or Thaddeus.
Norm and the Buds will arrive at Vault Tec HQ, which was the original meetup spot.
Lucy knocking Cooper out the window is our cliffhanger.
New fan theory: Ron Perlman is going to appear at the Lucky 38 party in the flashback. Possibly as a key figure of the Enclave. Theory I don't hate but I also don't want it to turn out to be true: The Enclave dropped the Deathclaws into Vegas. I think Hank is going to turn out to be working for the Enclave and not Mr. House and if that's so the he helped destroy not only the NCR but Vegas as well. My beef with the theory is that The Enclave starts being omnipotent and the faction becomes the reset
The series ends with the reset only moving the factions back to where they were at the end of Fallout 2 (West coast BoS and NCR allies, Enclave a major threat)
