Danny chuckled softly, nodding slightly to agree with her. “Seems like we were at least lucky enough to not get abducted by aliens. Which for us seems like a big accomplishment.” He dropped his hand after a moment and his gaze met with hers. “It’s kinda quiet around here again-- nothing to distract us or keep us busy. It’s nice but.. a bit scary.”

“Everything I say sounds wrong to someone. I can’t win.”

“I’m adapting. As much as I can and kinda slowly but.. you know, I’m getting there. I think.”

“I’m not usually one for big speeches or being good at.. any kind of talking really.”

“Skrulls? Sounds like a five year old named them.”

“I’m trying! I mean-- c’mon, you don’t get overwhelmed when thinking about a real alien invasion? Not at all?”

“When I was a kid I would have taken an alien invasion over math any day but.. yeah, this was weird.”

“Uh. Maybe a little of both? The alins stuff came and gone and I really had no idea what I was doing.”

“Well-- maybe the others had a better grip. This was my first exposure to aliens so, I feel like I did okay.”

“So I’ve heard. And that’s pretty freaky to me.”

[irxnfiist]

“You seem.. really chill about the fact that we had alien imposters walking around.”
