HEY ALL!
Did you know that this year will be my FOURTH YEAR drawing my Autostraddle comics!? How freaking wild is that!
And this is the stupidest, but I’m proud of all the work I’ve done and like, I’M SO IN LOVE with my characters and I hope you all love them as much as I do.
One of the things I love and most identify with in these comics is how these characters basically NEVER learn from their mistakes. I thought it’d be fun to look back at some older and not so old comics for some of Andy and Scout’s respective top five moments. So this took an annoyingly long time to make, have fun reading these:
ANDY’S TOP FIVE SLUTTY MOMENTS
5. The time they went on a double date only to have dated their date’s roommate who they totally ghosted. SO SMOOTH PAL SO SMOOTH TOTALLY DID NOT EVER HAPPEN IN MY REAL LIFE ITS COOL. This one is sooooo old but I promise it’s worth clicking and reading through even tho it’s annoying.
4. Andy asks out Scout’s ex. A very queer dilemma that many of us have dealt with. This is very similar to when Andy gets a crush on their new roommate but since nothing happened with that, it didn’t make the cut.
3. Andy goes to the cowboy bar and rides more than one type of bull. I love this comic because it surprised a lot of people that Andy would be into cis boys but in reality Andy loves all/every gender.
2. Andy literally exhausted the local dating scene and forces Scout to ride a bus to another town to meet an OkCupid date. lolololol totally not something i would ever do lololol
1. Goes camping, somehow has a sixth sense and stumbles upon a queer sex party in the woods. This is where Andy’s true slut skills come shining through. Amazing. #goals.

5. Scout Takes Three Hours To Ask Someone Out Via Text. classic. classic scout. But also, we’ve alllllll done this. don’t lie.
4. Scout REALLY sucks at flirting. Aren’t we all bad flirts, really, when we think about it? Also this comic was so fun because people LOVED the burrito line.
3. Scout isn’t over her ex. This comic is so great. I drew it but that is still my unbiased opinion. This came about because my good pal was invited to her ex’s party and I was like you have to invite me you have to, you don’t even understand, i will embarrass myself so hard for you, just let me do it. That being said, I have embarrassed myself for MANY friends in front of their ex-partners. No regrets. What dignity!
2. Scout REALLY isn’t over her ex. If your ex hasn’t gotten engaged and you had a lot of complicated feels about it while drinking a beer in the shower, then are you even gay???
1. Scout has a really tough time letting her past relationship with her ex go. A veryyyyy old comic that really shows what kind of dynamic Scout and Andy have, and also how truly sensitive Scout it.
