continuing on my trend of "Fabian is an 18th century lad living in a 20th century country", I think he CONTINUALLY baffles the other Bad Kids with his wildly different knowledge base and opinions. He thinks it's normal to fuck outside. He once gave a detailed breakdown on the domestication of pigeons bc he was mad at Kristen calling them rats with wings, including how Solace released them en masse once arcano-tech became common (much like real world countries did once the telegraph/phone became widespread), making Gorgug cry. He complains CONSTANTLY about how it's impossible to see the stars anywhere in Solace (Fig fully agrees after she sees the night-time sky on the Celestine Sea in SY). He knows how to sew (learned in order to repair sails) but had never run a dishwasher before junior year. The Hangman I, like many ships, kept a cat to catch rodents, and it was common to see milk goats, carriage horses, and dogs of all kinds on Leviathan, but Fabian was well into his teens before he ever saw a live cow.
