Riley followed Isabel easily and moved to sit in an empty chair at the table Isabel chose. Her posture was not slouched, but relaxed, and she set her chai on the table for the moment. “Oh, good,” she replied, happy the Domme had seen it. “I’ve always liked bath products, especially bath bombs, and thought they were great for self care and relaxing, so when I was a teenager I thought how hard can this be to make, did some research, and started making them. It was just for myself at the start, but my friends wanted some and then they encouraged me to sell them. Then over time my little hobby became a business.” she said. Riley paused for a moment to take a sip of her chai. What Riley didn’t say was that she’d started doing that because money was tight at times in her family. “ Psychology,” she said to answer the second question. “What’s your favorite hobby and how did you get into it?”
Isabel waited patiently while Riley settled herself, taking a slow sip of her hot coffee while she waited. While she answered the question, the Domme listened. Her face may have possessed a distant expression, but her mind and ears were focused on what she was hearing. “That sounds about right, for the start of something like that. You’re smart, however. That much is obvious. It takes a certain level of intelligence to transform a hobby into a successful business. That’s a skill I’d suggest you continue to hone. It will serve you well, if you play your cards right.” Isabel’s eyebrows raised, though not in a way that expressed shock. “That would require you to understand how to play cards successfully, however. So, if that in itself is a skill you find yourself lacking, my second suggestion would be to figure it out.” She took another sip of her coffee. “Psychology. Interesting. And what possessed you to do that?” She stayed silent for a time while she considered her answer Riley’s question. “I don’t have much time for hobbies. I haven’t for some time. I suppose I consider shopping a hobby. I think it’s pretty obvious how someone gets into something like that. Even in my younger years, I placed a high importance on fashion and appearances. You only get one chance to make a first impression in life. And, the manner in which you dress speaks louder than the majority of people care to consider. My mother is a beautiful and wonderful woman, but I rapidly reached a point at which I realized allowing her to continue to choose the majority of my wardrobe was more of a detriment than anything. So, I took over.”
