Isabella laughed at her words and nodded as her hands ran down the corset that she was wearing herself. “I feel like a badass in mine and my boobs look great but I wish I could breathe just a little more,” she admitted with another soft laugh escaping her red painted lips. “I think I would’ve survived a couple of days in this time period but not more than that,” she chuckled. “You look great as well.”

Isabella was admiring the work that her small town of Claybourne put into for this Spring Festival event that was indeed a renaissance festival. Turning her head to look over at the man next to her, she chuckled to his words and raised a brow. “The wrath of Grandma Evans, huh?” Smirking, she ran her hands over her black and blue corset. “Besides not being able to breathe that much in this, this event has been great so far and it seems like a good crowd is showing up.”

Parker returned her smile, giving the girl a nod. “Well, I do love my camera. A lot to live up to,” he joked with her. “Pleasure to meet you, Isabella. I’m Parker Halles.”

“I love a good, friendly competition,” Isabella teased with a smirk. Once she heard his name, his last name especially, her eyebrows rose for a moment before smiling. “Parker Halles, as in Maddison Halles?” She asked wondering. “I also assume you work as a photographer?”

Nate held out his hand with a smile on his face, “Nate Dolan, I don’t believe i’ve seen you around much? I’m sure i would have noticed you if we were running in the same crowds. I live up by The Lakehouses.”

Isabella shook his hand with a smile and nodded. “It’s nice to meet you, Nate. I’ve lived here my whole life but haven’t really shown my face too much, I like to keep a low profile sometimes,” she said with a chuckle before letting his hand go. “I grew up in Rivertown and now live on Summerset Street.”

Kai had spent the morning pretending to be an adult, he’d actually bought food and ordered the stock for the bar. He was taking a breather and looked up at the voice. “I can, huh? That is very generous of you,” he smiled back at her. “Can I get you another drink?”

Isabella looked down at her half empty drink and shook her head with a smile. “I don’t need another one quite yet but thank you though,” she said with a smile. “How are you? I’m Isabella by the way.”

Parker was lost in his own thoughts, he was tired, he’d been up sorting photos until the early hours of the morning. He heard the voice and turned with a smile. “Oh, hey. Yeah? Some company would be nice. It’s been me, my camera and my computer all night.”

Isabella smiled up at the man and she had to admit, he was quite attractive. “Yeah? Well I hope that I can be more entertaining than your camera,” she tried to joke and took a sip of her beer not to embarrass herself even more. “I’m Isabella, Isabella Gomez. It’s nice to meet you.”

He raised is brow once more. “Now that’s surprising”, the man stated before taking a sip from the fresh beer. “I’ve lived here my whole life too and I’m sure I’d remember seeing you around before.”

Isabella raised a brow right back to him before following suit and taking a sip of her fresh beer as well, enjoying how cold it was. Listening to his words, she shrugged in response. “I was never really popular in school and I focused most of my time on my studies and my family. I kept to myself a lot,” she said with a chuckle before taking another sip of her beer and licking her lips. “I’m glad we’re meeting now.”

Asher had been carrying a create through when the woman addressed him. He glanced over, confused for a moment. “Oh… no I’m working.” He pointed at the crate. “Don’t drink that one though.” She slid into the seat opposite her. “That’s mostly fruit. Let me get you a proper drink. Something off the menu they don’t tell you about.” He winked, beginning to move his hand into the crate. 

Isabella raised her brow as she watched the man working there join her and she chuckled to his words, biting down on her lower lip when she saw his wink towards her. “As much as I like fruit, I also like to be surprised so I’m interested in what you’re about to have me try,” she said with a chuckle as she watched him. “What’s your name?”

“Not really”, the man stated giving her a little shrug. “I grew up doing it because my Grandpa did it, so I just kinda fell into it.” He could tell she was already eating out of the palm of his hand, and there was part of him that hated it. How was he expected to not go through women like socks when they would flock to him so easily? He gave her another grin. “Well, I’d say you’re doing a fairly good job tonight, wouldn’t you say? So, how long have you lived in Claybourne?”

“That must have been fun learning everything from him,” Isabella said with a grin, trying not to smirk as she knew that she had this man wrapped around her finger. She didn’t go into tonight want to hook up with someone but now that Dallon caught her eye, she was quite interested to find out how it would be sleeping with him. Chuckling to his next words, the smirk appeared and she nodded. “I’m having a few drinks while flirting with a good looking man so no complains from me,” she flirted smoothly, running her tongue over her lips. “I’ve lived here all my life. What about you?”

“Oh, thanks, that’s kind of you. It’s always a little awkward sitting alone, right?” she laughed, taking a seat beside the other. “I need a drink though. Maybe two,” she started to ramble, her usual bright personality showing as she spoke.

“Always a little for sure,” Isabella agreed with a chuckle and her smile grew as she watched her sit down beside her. “I’m on my first one still but the line isn’t too long right now to get a drink,” she said before taking a sip of her beer. “My name is Isabella by the way, Isabella Gomez.”

The smirk he was wearing broke into a full on grin as a little laugh tumbled from his lips. He looked over towards the waitress and asked for two more beers. He’d noticed that the pool tables had a spot opened up but at this point he could care less. “I fish”, Dallon told her before taking another drink. “Like most of the working class men in this town.” He placed the nearly empty bottle down in front of him again, spinning it softly between his fingers. “And what about you, Isabella?”

Fuck. He had a great smile and a cute laugh too which made her grin right back at him. “Have you always wanted to be a fisherman?” She asked wondering as she took another sip of her beer and eventually downing the rest of it as she knew another glass was coming. As much as she loved flirting with him, he was opening up to her and she was going to do the same. “I work as a nurse at the hospital so I’m there most of my days. I live on coffee and no sleep but I love my job and I’ve been told I can be a workaholic so that’s why I’m trying to get out more.”

A crooked smirk began to form on his face. As he got older, saw the way his sister was treated by guys, it made him want to be a better guy. But she flirted with him first, how was he expected to hold back his fuckboy tendencies? “Well what are you drinking? Next one might be on me.”

Not only was Dallon an attractive man but he had a crooked smirk that was going to make her weak. She felt her heart rate pick up and as much as she wanted to smile, she loved the flirty vibes and continued to smirk. “Might? Am I going to have to beat you at a round of pool to find out?” She asked teasingly with a chuckle. “So Dallon, besides drinking beer, playing pool and flirting with me, what else do you like to do?”

He didn’t mind standing, though after his long day sitting would feel good. Still, he remained standing until the woman offered him her name. Sliding out the chair Dallon collapsed into the seat, his long legs making it so his knees nearly hit the top of the table. “Dallon”, he said holding out his hand before taking another drink of his beer. “So, you come here a lot?”

Isabella chuckled when she watched the tall man sit down after she introduced herself and she smirked to his words. Giving his hand a shake, she ran her tongue over her lips before taking a sip of her beer and responding back. “It’s nice to meet you, Dallon. And no, I don’t get out too often due to work but when I do, I make it count,” she said with the smirk still playing on her lips. “After another one of these I might just join you at one of the pool tables when one opens up.”

It had been a bitterly cold day on the boat, the wind whipping, waves splashing about. After a poor catch day he was utterly chilled to the bone. He should have gone home, but with his younger sister there, certainly in the middle of some dramatic crisis, making the bar much more appealing. As he took a sip of his drink Dallon stared over towards the billiards area when he heard a voice. “Oh, I was just looking at the pool tables, waiting for one to open up.”

Isabella nodded to his words, her eyes shifting over to the busy pool tables. “Well, if you’d like to join me while you wait, be my guest,” she said with a smile before taking a sip of her beer and looking around more. After a moment of silence, she turned her head to look back up at the man still standing by the table she was at. “I’m Isabella by the way.”
