i realised that i havent made an explanation post for the au so

Introduction

The basic premise is swapping main characters with eachother:

Siffrin < - > Loop

Mirabelle < - > Isabeau

Odile < - > Bonnie

(spoilers for the game begin under the cut. All the spoilers are of various severity so ill just say full game and act 6 secret)

The King < - > Euphrasie

The characters stories and motivations are also changed

Loop: Their story is very close to the original Siffrin, except for one thing - they are a star person! One of a kind (at least as far as Loop knows)! This fact is very distressing for them, so they chose to hide their identity from everyone. No one needs to know they are not human, teehee~.

Mirabelle: A Housemaiden of the Dormont House of Change. Well, at least formally. She went on a long pilgrimage after realising that she doesn't want to change and can't live as a true Housemaiden anymore. Also is much less anxious than her original counterpart.

Isabeau: Like in the original, wanted to finally change into a person he always wanted to be, but alas, his journey of Change was interrupted by Euphrasie's conquest of Vaugarde and had to be replaced with the journey of a savior. Because of this, he is much more shy and anxious than his original counterpart.

Odile: Not very long after her mother abandoned her, Odile's father died. Being unable to deal with her grief of losing both of her parents, she went on an everlasting journey, wandering through Vaugarde, trying to find a place she could call home. And all that as a young teenager. Also carries around a comically large book, I wonder what that is about....

Bonnie: A crabbing adult now! And a chef cooker! Had to abandon their home during the Curse, leaving their younger sister Nille behind. As the adult™ of the group, feels like they need to be very responsible and caring for their comrades, but also tries to be jovial about the situation, because who else would it be if not Bonnie!

Siffrin: Imagine having your family, your world, your story be stolen from you. What does that mean? I dunno, read the posts and you might see :). Is almost constantly livid at Loop, though tries to not show it much.

The King and Euphrasie: The King (now just called King because its his name) is the Head Housemaiden and Euphrasie now wants to freeze the country in time. Thats all im gonna tell here. For now at least.

wow did you know that being unmedicated and also having irl problems sucks completely unrelated (/j) the au might be on a sort of a hiatus. half from the aforementioned unrelated thing half because....its just been a long time, chat. isat is still near and dear to my heart but its not enough to drive me fully when im writing. also i accidentally made 7 more au ideas so i might turn this blog into General My Aus Page. actually tell me if you wanna see that in the comments or whereever. anyway the point is that feefee talk probably wont come out anytime soon. because its long af. maybe i could try posting it piece by piece to pretend im productive? also maybe tell me what you think about that. if you care. i dont know how to finish posts

First of all, a little spiel (if you dont care about the spiel you can just scroll to the cut, dont forget to read the content warning!):

Remember that one poll? Sorry, had to break my promise. The feefee talk is crabbing MASSIVE which means my adhd is in full force while im working on it. Which means it might take a while longer. However, i cant just do nothing the whole time, so decided to write the siffrin fight instead, since its much shorter. I hope you understand.

Siffrin: And when I first saw what happened to you after you truly spoke to the King.... Siffrin: After I talked to your party.... Siffrin: I decided to follow them out of curiosity.

Siffrin: And then I saw you. Curled up. Sad. Alone. Frozen. Siffrin: I was relieved! I thought, maybe, there was a silver lining to all this! Maybe I was just spared from a hopeless ending! Loop: (...) "No."

Siffrin: ...Why not?

Loop: "Why should I?"

Siffrin: ..... Siffrin: Isn't it obvious? Siffrin: I wanted to kill you! Siffrin: Out of some pathetic spite towards a person who isn't even real anymore!!! Siffrin: I can't even take your place! It was just for petty revenge! Siffrin: You....you don't want someone like that walking around. Siffrin: You should just let me kill myself and get on with your stupid life!!!

Loop: (You laugh.) "That's kind of dramatic, isn't it? Killing yourself just because you lost."

Siffrin: Haha.... Siffrin: Rich coming from you, starlight. Siffrin: ...Maybe it is. But I want to do it. Siffrin: Dying is the ending I want.

Siffrin: Starlight, please. Just let me die. I don't want to be here. Siffrin: There's nothing left for me now. Siffrin: You've won. You don't need a guide anymore. And so I should be gone. Siffrin: I can't go back to how it was before, because that past is gone. Siffrin: I can't go back to my friends, because...they aren't even my friends, are they? They don't recognize me and I barely recognize them. Siffrin: There's nothing left for me to do, no script to follow, no Universe to lead me.... Siffrin: ....

(Siffrin sighs.)

Siffrin: Why did it have to be you? Siffrin: I knew I could do it if I only endured just a little more. Siffrin: If only that blinding star could do the same.

Loop: (Oh, Siffrin...) "But don't you get it?"

Siffrin: ... Siffrin: What is there to get?

Loop: "The reason I succeeded, maybe?"

Siffrin: What..?

Loop: "It's thanks to you!"

Siffrin: ...?

Loop: "You did endure, despite being betrayed by your guide." Loop: "You managed to stay by my side until the very end." Loop: "Yeah, you didn't tell me everything, and yeah, you sometimes were mean to me because of the grudge you had..." Loop: "But despite that, you managed to stick it out." Loop: "Only because of that I managed to win."

Siffrin: .... Siffrin: Hah. Siffrin: I can't believe it.

Loop: "?"

Siffrin: Now you're the one guiding me, in a way. Just like last time.

(You laugh.)

Loop: "Isa sends his thanks, by the way." Loop: "All of them do."

Siffrin: Thanks...? For what?

Loop: "Who else helped them get all the way to Euphrasie?" Loop: "They told me to say thank you, for bringing them to me." Loop: "For saving me."

Siffrin: ....So.... Siffrin: ....You weren't lying before....

Loop: "Yeah, see? It is all thanks to you."

Siffrin: ...Starlight.... Siffrin: Why couldn't it be me?

Loop: "I don't know." Loop: "Maybe it was in the script." Loop: "Maybe it was what the Universe wanted." Loop: "Or maybe it's no one's fault."

Siffrin: ....

Loop: "I'm sorry, Siffrin." Loop: "And I also thank you" Loop: "Without you, I would've given up a long time ago." Loop: "Thank you for helping me, this whole time. And I hope you can forgive me."

Siffrin: ...Haha. Siffrin: There's nothing to forgive you for, Loop. Siffrin: You're not the one, after all. Siffrin: ...

(You share a moment of silence.)

Siffrin: ...I think you can get off of me now.

(Oh, right.)

(You help Siffrin up, and they fix their eyepatch back on.)

Loop: ...Siffrin, we can--

Siffrin: Loop.

(They put a hand on your shoulder.)

(You flinch.)

Siffrin: … Siffrin: Please. Siffrin: You're going to have to talk to them, from now on. Siffrin: No more keeping how you feel from them. We both know where this leads. Siffrin: And if one day, no matter what you do, everyone's paths and yours diverge… Siffrin: You'll have to learn to be okay with it. Siffrin: We can't… We can't do this again. Siffrin: Hold them hostage, against their knowledge, against their will, just because we're lonely. Siffrin: Learning to talk to them… Learning to let go… Siffrin: It'll be hard. It'll feel impossible. You might think you'd rather die than share how you feel. Siffrin: After all, isn't bottling things up the reason you managed to break the loops? Siffrin: You didn't have to tell them anything until the very end, and it turned out fine, didn't it?

Loop: (…) "But…" Loop: "But if I had talked to them earlier, then maybe…"

Siffrin: Yeah, dummy. If only you had been strong enough to talk to them, maybe this whole story wouldn't have happened at all. Siffrin: If only I was strong enough.... Siffrin: ... Siffrin: Oh well. It doesn't matter now.

(They let go of you.)

Siffrin: ...I think it's my time to go. Don't worry, nothing bad is gonna happen to me.

Loop: "Where will you go?"

Siffrin: Oh, starlight.... Siffrin: ...I don't know! I think I want to see Vaugarde again, like it is supposed to be. Siffrin: Haven't left this town for months, you know?

Loop: "But....But I--"

Siffrin: Ah, starlight. Siffrin: I know you want me to come with you. With your family, together. Siffrin: ....I don't think I am ready for that yet. Siffrin: I want to be alone, for at least a little bit.

Loop: "...."

Siffrin: Awww, don't make that face! I'm sure you'll do just stellar without me!

(...Against your better judgement, you laugh.)

Loop: "It's been knife knowing you, Siffrin."

(He laughs alongside you.)

Siffrin: Hahahahaha! Siffrin: ...Don't worry, Loop. Siffrin: Somehow, I'm sure I will see you all again. Siffrin: After all, it would be rude to not accept all the thanks in person. Siffrin: And I have this coin I'll have to return to you.

I want to see how Odile grows up and what she thinks about Vaugardian culture. I want to see Isabeau change and become what he always wanted to be. Mirabelle: And I want to get to know you more, Loopie! Talk to you more, be with you more! Mirabelle: I want to be with everyone for a long, long time!!!

Bonnie: I.... I never knew we all agreed on this. Bonnie: I wanted to go back to Nille, but I could continue journeying with you after that. Bonnie: I even wanted to ask some of you about this, but never found the courage, I guess. Bonnie: It's.... genuinely fun to travel with you all. Bonnie: I don't think I've ever had so much fun with friends, even through all the hardships we faced. Bonnie: And now that this quest is over, nothing is stopping us, right?

Isabeau: Loop! Isabeau: We want to stay with you, too. Isabeau: It's not just you!

Mirabelle: This journey won't be over yet, not if we have anything to say about it!

Bonnie: And even when it ends, it won't be the end. We'll all stay in each other's lives for a long, long time.

Odile: Yeah!!! Odile: So stop being stupid and thinking we'll forget you or whatever, because we won't, you dummy!

Bonnie: Loop!!

Odile: ...So, in the end... you love us so much you wished to stay with us so hard you almost broke the world? Odile: I'm impressed... but also I'm concerned now.

Loop: "Hmrf."

Bonnie: Yeah, I thought my parents had issues, but this is something else.

Loop: "Hmrnghrgh."

Isabeau: I think it's sweet!

Mirabelle: Right? Ending the world for love is what good stories are made of!

Loop: "Rhghhmghmmghhrm."

Loop: "I'm sorry." Loop: "For everything."

Bonnie: Which is?

Loop: "For saying all those things yesterday."

Mirabelle: Good start!

Isabeau: I think I'm speaking for everybody when I say we forgive you, but we reserve the right to be mad about it later.

Mirabelle: Definitely!

Odile: Oh, I'll be mad! Odile: Later. After a good meal and a good night's sleep. I don't think I have the energy to be angry now.

Loop: "And, uh, for unknowingly trapping you all in time."

Odile: Though now I have a lot of questions for you.

Bonnie: I think those can wait for later.

Odile: Of course. You still have things to apologize for.

Loop: (Um...) "What else??? I'm sorry....."

Isabeau: Apologize for not talking to us about everything, dummy!!!

Bonnie: Oh, right! Bonnie: Probably need to get back to Bambouche to make sure she is okay. Maybe should send a message in advance actually so she doesn't worry about my absence in the meantime. Bonnie: And after that... Well, we will see, I guess. I don't think she will mind me travelling more once she knows I'm okay.

Mirabelle: Maybe she will even want to join us!

Loop: "Sounds good to me!"

Isabeau: Actually, there is another issue.... Isabeau: Odile, you don't need to go back to anywhere for sure, right?

Bonnie: Yeah, otherwise you travelling with us will be something called a "kidnapping".

Odile: Yeah, I am completely free. Odile: I-I think at least. Maybe we should also do something about that so that I'm not counted as missing or something.

Bonnie: Good suggestion!
