Bathed In Blood || Iskuo

Running out the area around the cornucopia I looked back seeing Iskra following me, i knew we were good. I kept running take turns trying to distance us from the blood bath. Stopping where I thought we were safe I Turning to look at Iskra as i tried to catch my breath. Thats when I saw her holding her side. “What happened?” I asked dropping my gear and running to her.

Looking around, I checked to see if we were followed or if anyone was near. Finally letting my guard down slightly, I limped over to Duo. Moving my hands from my sides, I showed him the cut along with my bloodied palms. "I seemed to have been cut when some guy fell in front of me." A bubble of nervous laughter escaped and I looked up to Duo and watched his expression.

"Maybe." I said distractedly. I was try to figure out how to ask her if she wanted to sleep together like we did on the train. With such little time left I wanted to be with her as much as I could. I leaned forward and grabbed one of my quesadillas and took a bite as I tried to figure it out. "Oh my god this is good." i said after my first bite.

Looking away from the tv, I said, "Hmm? Oh, thanks. My dad always was a good cook." Taking my quesadilla, I nibbled on it a bit. District 2. Aria: 10, Chris: 8. Hmm...

I poured her a glass and took our glasses to the coffee table and set them down. I sat next to her and yawned so I could put my arm around her. I laughed a little at how stupid I was. “Hmmm” I said thinking out loud. “I understand Cora’s score, shes amazing with a bow. But Matt’s doesnt make sense. He’s every bit as good as Cora is.” I added.

Bending over to get my tea, I sat back and snuggled against Duo a bit. "Maybe he mess up somehow." I said thinking about the day we were running the track together. Maybe his ankle got in the way.

I watched her, I didnt really know what else to do. She was the girl of my dreams and she loved me. I didnt really know why but she did. I got off the counter and grabbed us two glasses. I poured some tea into mine. “Anything you want to drink?” I asked.

"Tea is fine." Taking the two plates, I put them on the coffee table and then sat down on the coach. Turning on the tv, we had caught it just in time. They had just finished announcing District One's scores. Cora: 10, Matt: 4. Wow. That's surprising.

I kissed her passionately. I pulled away and looked at her. “I feel like I ruined our night. I'm sorry.” I said.

"It's okay." Laughing slightly, I said, "Nothing like a little relationship development." Kissing him one more time, I reluctantly backed away and quickly finished off the last quesadilla and placed it on his plate.

I looked into her eyes. “I'm sorry” I said as I kissed her cheek. “I just wish we could of been together you know…before everything.” I said motioning around us.

"I know, me too." Taking the hand from my chest, I kissed the back of it. "But all we've got is right now." Taking his chin again, I brought his face down for a kiss.

"Of course I am." I said "Its just…when you get home…you should forget me…and pretend I never happened….and then you can be happy instead of being sad. You can find someone and settle down….someone you can love without having to worry about the arena." I said looking away. "All I want is you to be happy."

Turning his face back to me, I looked him in the eyes and said, "I could never forget about you. I don't want to." Grabbing his hand, I brought it to my chest so that both of us were holding the ring that lie there. "If I make it home, you will always be in my mind, but I won't forget to live. For the both of us."

"Im going to make sure you go home." I said softly. "Then you can be really happy." I said really quietly as I pulled away. I walked to the other counter and sat on the top of it.

Sighing, I turned the stove to low so as not to burn the tortilla. Turning around I walked over to Duo and put my hands on his knees. "I am happy. Right here, right now, with you." Gently caressing his chin, I pulled him down so that our foreheads were touching. "Aren't you?"

"Sorry" I said as i worked on my second one. Making it like the first I set it off to the side and walked up behind her again. "I really do love you." I said as I wrapped my arms loosely around her waist so she could continue what she was doing.

Removing the first quesadilla and putting it on a separate plate, I put his second one on the pan. "I know." Turning slightly, I leaned up and kissed him. Turning back to the pan, I folded the quesadilla and pressed it down.

I moved over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed neck then rubbed my jaw against her neck softly and lightly before pulling away quickly so she didnt get distracted and started making my next quesadilla.

"You're gonna make me burn this." I said, smiling. Once the cheese had melted, I folded his quesadilla over on itself as well.
