✪ a e r y s t a r g a r y e n unintentionally bullies maekar with witty, aloof little jabs sometimes they go right over maekar’s head. baelor is usually the one who catches them and shoots aerys a look. aerys just shrugs like he did not say something insanely rude or mean. most of the time, though, maekar feels it. what hurts maekar the most is how casual aerys is about it. maekar cannot tell if aerys is irritated that he is not as well-read, or if his brother is just that detached and buried in tomes and his own head that he does not realize how rude he sounds. regardless, young maekar still wants the approval of his two eldest brothers.
✪ maekar’s h a i r c u t used to be similar to daeron’s before the fuck-ass bob. it gets slightly wavy when it's super humid or when wet. 😛
✪ r h a e g e l is the one who gave maekar the f u c k - a s s b o b . baelor just stared at it in stunned silence. probably running through every possible scenario of what would happen if their mother saw this. then carefully took the shears away from rhaegel. rhaegel was very pleased with himself. obvi. maekar was going to shave it all off. no big deal. then aerys made one pointed comment. so maekar, out of pure spite, kept it.
✪ maekar if he was in a modern au would be a total ' 9 0 s m e t a l h e a d k i d . tool, slayer, pentera, metallica. though, because of whatever modern au daeron has been blasting in his room, maekar has started liking post-hardcore, like turnstile and fugazi. daeron and daella has been playing the cure by olivia rodrigo non-stop. so that's stuck in his head and he does not fuck with it.
