and it wasn't forced or pretended, it wasn't just to make Baelor jealous, they naturally fell into each other's orbits and just stayed there. Maekar slowly started to ignore Baelor's sharp eyes following him, slowly started acting like he didn't notice his fists clenched with anger.

Baelor had made his choice and it clearly wasn't Maekar. it never would be Maekar. not when the family's status and reputation was at the other end of the deal.

and deep down Maekar had enough of being Baelor's dirty little secret. he wasn't going to be his side-piece whenever things got too hard. Jena deserved better than being cheated on. Maekar deserved better than playing his brothers whore

Maekar was terrified when he realised that what he's been feeling might be actually love. because the last time he thought he loved someone, it ended up in a betrayal. Baelor wounded his self-esteem so bad that sometimes he would catch himself wondering what will happen if Dyanna realises that he's not really worth it all. would she also pick her reputation over their secret romance?

but Dyanna was nothing like Baelor. she was strong-willed, stubborn and decisive. she didn’t push Maekar to do anything, but it was so clear she had chosen him the day she first saw this gloomy omega and his big frown. and it was so strange but also so good

because before Dyanna, Maekar was never someone's first choice

i think valarr's first word was an attempt at "maekar" because of how much baelor talked about him around baby valarr 🥹 on the contrary daeron didn't talk until he was almost two years old, and the first word he willfully said was repeating a hearty "fuck" after his papa

I have to make a confession, I only knew Ginny and Georgia from that embarrassing salute scene 😭

BUT, I did my research, watched the scene, so let's get into it?

okay, so I have to start in the messy way, Daeron is obviously Dyanna's son, maybe she was older than Maekar and was off to an University before she knew about the baby? (Maekar desperately wanted to tell her about the pregnancy but Dyanna's parents intervened, saying that he will ruin her dream life if he dares to do that)

and then Daemon came to the picture, older, rebellious, a wet dream of many, taking Maekar in when Maekar was already in his weakest point? (I mean, 16, pregnant and kicked out of the house, with no contact to the alpha he loved, that's a whole package)

and Daemon hated little Daeron because that was not his child, so shortly after he was determined to impregnate Maekar with a proper valyrian-looking baby (like, Maekar didn’t even heal properly after giving birth to Daeron when he got pregnant with Aerion)

Daemon initially wanted more children, but the way Daeron and Aerion behaved thankfully stopped him from that. soon enough, he descended into addiction (he's like a gambler or whatever, either way he has debts) leaving Maekar to take care of the kids and to provide for the whole family (and there's only so little a high school dropout can do, but Maekar's stubborn enough to push through everything)

then comes the domestic violence, yet another thing for Maekar to overcome. and he somehow made a routine out of it, leaving his two sons with elderly neighbour so he can go to work, coming back to put the kids to sleep before sneaking out to work again (you can imagine what kind of work is he doing at night... by that I mean a waiter in a secret costume working in some club) it's exhausting, annoying, sometimes embarrassing, but the kids are fed, dressed and happy overall

now, that could be until Daemon hits one of the kids instead of Maekar OR until he brings his gambling friends to their apartment

either way, that's what makes Maekar pack their belongings and leave him

he ends up in a small, one room apartment with two scared kids, wondering if he'll still pull through. even if Daemon had his flaws, he still was some kind of help on good days, and now they're on their own

I imagine Daemon tries to barge into the apartment at some point, probably to take money from Maekar or something (or Aerion, maybe, but maybe he's also a deadbeat dad just because?)

so there are better and worse days, and Maekar is slowly deteriorating but also he's still determined to give his kids the best life he possibly can, with what little he has right now

until one day he stumbles upon Baelor while working the waiter job at the club

Baelor, who never knew what happened between Maekar and their parents because he was already engaged to Jena, studying abroad and planning his own family (lets assume Baelor also has his two sons but also him and Jena are happily divorced and exploring their lives)

Baelor, who never gave up and tried to look for his baby brother who suddenly disappeared

so they see each other after years of no contact, Baelor's on a meeting with colleagues or something, Maekar's on his waiter shift, and suddenly it gets awkward

Baelor notices how thin and tired Maekar's looking, and of course he's worried about him right away, but Maekar doesn't want to talk to him, assuming that Baelor knew what was going on, why was he kicked out, and just did nothing about it, listening to their parents

they confront it, eventually, but will they ever reconcile fully? and will Dyanna come back all of sudden to find out about Daeron? will Daemon's gambling debts bite Maekar in the ass? maybe not but I might bite him

that's all I got in me, now I shall go to sleep

MAEKAR’S HOUSE OF HORRORS PLEASE SHSIDHDU you know that boy was stressing Daeron and Myriah TF OUT! based on the age diff between daeron aerion aemon and possibly daella, he’s getting pregnant every single year of his teens after 16, Baelor (and Dyanna) were not getting off him

I imagine in this au that post Daella, Myriah threatened to have him spayed (she said those exact words btw) if he didn’t stop, which is why there’s an age diff between those four and Egg and Rhae. the man is 35 with four teenagers, a child, and a toddler, most people who meet him think his hair turned white from sheer stress

atp Myriah should have put him in a chastity belt...

although, looking at Baelor and Dyanna, that also wouldn't last long...

and you know, there's a saying in the Kardashians show that "North is Kim's lesson on this earth"

now, I believe after Aerion's another crazy behaviour Myriah probably said the same thing to Maekar, everything his kids do to annoy him is a payback for his slut era and the stress it caused Myriah and Daeron

I know we like to clown on fail dad (or fail mom) Maekar, but we cannot deny that man has immaculate fashion sense and runs his children’s wardrobes like it’s the military. I love imagining the idea of people in his life discovering his kids are not impeccably coordinated because of Dyanna, it’s all Maekar. I assume he sees it as an extension of his own self image, as he does all his kids, but just imagine: career woman Dyanna on her first business trip since being at a new job and getting off maternity leave or whatever and someone is all ‘haha, leaving your poor husband with the kids?’ joke assuming the house will be a disaster when Dyanna gets back, and it is… because Maekar really needs to have Dyanna around to grab him by the ear and tell him to chill the fuck out about managing the kids.

my first thought was: the house is on fire but at least they're all escaping in matching outfits

also, dear Anon, I absolutely ADORE your vision of Maekar's and Dyanna's marriage, that's canon now

like, how's he supposed to function without his amazing, gorgeous wife to kinda keep him on a leash?

and ABSOLUTELY he does see them as some sort of his extension, so much he's one step from aneurysm every time Daeron pulls up looking like a Frank Gallagher doppelganger

going back to omegaverse valaeron fic, new day, new stuff to say

so the begging is now DONE!!!

1k words of Daeron being jealous of his parents, then watching his family shatter

also, Dyanna had a silver harp bc why not

and then there's introduction to actual plot, which is Maekar calling Daeron to his office and offering him wine which makes Daeron confused but then he's like "gimme it"

all because the news of engagement came and I guess they're both drinking thru it 😭

but then there's Maekar's tough love, hugging Daeron but also warning him to act properly bc he'll be married to future king

and then I think of a flash forward after the wedding, which is basically Daeron's thoughts about Valarr (they didn't see each other for years, got married after like 3 months of engagement, and initially Daeron saw his cousin as gentle and very proper, something that will change later)

and there will be Dyanna haunting the narrative, and probably Jena too, but that will happen in Valarr's pov

I think this might be longer that I planned tho, because there's this introduction, then there's reality of their marriage, and then aftermath? so I'm aiming at 3 chapters

on the other hand, I could also do the whole story from different points of view?

hear me out, Daeron's point is low hopes for anything really, then a sudden change of his position, then this happy bubble pops and he's back to sad reality, but I think he deserves to be happy in the end? so maybe he'll leave back to Summerhall

AND THEN

Valarr's pov, and it's beginning with resentment, not even towards Daeron himself, but at his father actually? he found out years back that Baelor loved Maekar but was forbidden to marry him, and although he married and had children, it was never the same kind of love with Jena? so he's mad for his mother's sake, and now he's supposed to marry son of his uncle who was haunting their family? then rumors about Daeron's behaviour circulate and he's even more mad and embarrassed maybe? in the end he himself is doubting Daeron, accusing him of infidelity, and losing him in the end?

and then, I think Baelor's and Maekar's pov's could be joint? bc they're not seeing everything going down between Valarr and Daeron?

yeah, I have no idea how to move forward now 😭

there are still a few points I need to think through, bc there's too much I want to add but it might be unnecessary in the end?
