âI have to die to so much; I have to make such big changes. I feel the only thing to do is to get the dying overâto court it, almost. (Fearfully hard, that.) And then all hands to the business of being reborn again.â
â Katherine Mansfield, from a letter to J. M. Murry written c. October 1922
what is dead may never die
âRather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth.â
â Henry David Thoreau, Walden (via books-n-quotes)
âHistory is always written by the winners. When two cultures clash, the loser is obliterated, and the winner writes the history books-books which glorify their own cause and disparage the conquered foe. As Napoleon once said, âWhat is history, but a fable agreed upon?â
â Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code (via books-n-quotes)

To me, there was a very tangible feeling of softness and vulnerability with Theon and Sansaâs relationship. Itâs really quite unique and beautiful. Both are (arguably) the most abused and shitted on characters in the show, both have been through horrors and traumas unimaginable, and yet they keep going, keep standing when they get knocked down, keep going when all seems impossibly hopeless. When theyâre around each other, itâs like they drop all defenses and show a softness and vulnerability that they donât with the other characters. Theyâve been through so much, but when theyâre together there is no armor, no masks worn. They are nakedly themselves, all scars and mistakes and hurt, and they anchor each other. They open their arms for one another and just hold each other, solace in the feeling of home.
âHate isnât the most dangerous thing, heâd said. Indifference is.â - Lauren Oliver, Delirium
Nobody would ever SAY they hate someone for being mentally ill. Of course not!
-They hate them for being âimmatureâ
-For being âneedyâ
-For having âoutburstsâ or âtantrumsâ
-For âbeing depressingâ or âbringing the mood downâ
-For being âflakeyâ or âdisorganisedâ
-For being âweirdâ or âawkwardâ
But if you judge people for:
-Displaying childlike features
-Fearing abandonment or being unable to function independently
-Being unable to regulate emotion
-Openly discussing their mood disorder or depressed thoughts
-Having memory or concentration problems, dissociative problems or disorganised thought
-For being eccentric, experiencing paranoia, or struggling to recognise social cues
Youâre basically saying âI donât hate mentally ill people, I just hate the way that their disorder affects meâ
