Remembering the beauty of the tulips 🌷 of İstanbul in April. This was one of my most memorable trips and came just a few weeks after I left America. Few people know that tulips were first cultivated in Turkey and then exported to Holland. This display was the world’s largest tulip “carpet” planted in the stunning park between the Blue Mosque and the Haggai Sophia, which are arguably the most beautiful structures in the city. I’m sure this year’s floral displays are just as beautiful, though visitors and locals cannot enjoy them like in the past.
