There were many moments in No Way Home that triggered the tears and cheers of comicbook nerds like myself, but I must say that this scene has a separate fanbase.

Although I have not been subtle about my biased love for the Raimiverse, TASM deserves credit where it is due. I distinctly remember how much I enjoyed both films, and how thrilled I was to see a fresh portrayal of Peter Parker.

This scene took me back to the first time I watched TASM 2 in theatres. While I stand firm on the opinion that Peter's soulmate will always be Mary Jane, Gwen's death in that movie made me tear up like the Niagra falls.

Hats off to Marvel for making this happen.

Why do we love Spiderman?

He's not a big-time celebrity like Ironman.

He's not a seasoned hero like Captain America.

But Peter Parker represents the good in all of us.

He's an ordinary kid who doesn't know what to do with the power he was given, but feels responsible for the lives he can protect with it.

Most of us are nobodies in real life. Not everyone is a war hero like Cap, or rich and popular like Stark.

When we do something good for others, usually all people will do is hate you, use you, or betray you. That's life. Just like how Spidey is the "menace" of New York, no matter how many times he saves it.

Yet, Peter Parker does not let those voices stop him from doing what's right. Whenever we feel like giving up, we can look up to the one man (although fictional) who taught us not to. That's what Stan Lee gave the world when he created Spiderman; the story of a wall-crawling teenager that spread across children across the globe for generations, reminding us that we are all born with our own unique gifts to be used for the good of mankind. Like Spiderman, we have the responsibility to help those who can't help themselves, and give hope to the ones without.

In the words of Aunt May, there is a hero in all of us. Us spidey-fans must never stop believing in that. When in doubt, ask yourself, "what would Peter do?"

가만 생각해보면, 이 시대에 태어나서 참 감사하다. 어렸을적 토비맥과이어의 스파이더맨 시리즈를 보며 그를 우상으로 삼으며 자라왔고, 나중에는 앤드류가필드와 톰홀랜드가 각각 재해석한 스파이더맨이라는 캐릭터를 영화관에서 또 볼수있었다. 올 12월, NWH 보러 갈때 눈물닦을 휴지 꼭 챙겨가야겠다. 팬메이드포스터들만 보고 있어도 얼굴에 미소가 저절로 지어진다!
