Stiles couldn’t quite imagine why Ben would have that much trouble with having friends - although he’d not yet seen the asshole side of the guy, so he couldn’t make any educated guesses. (With Deadpool fans, it was always either you got it all wrong and beautified the whole character, or you’re a hardboiled asshole yourself and you can totally laugh with Deadpool in most if not all situations. So.)
It was pretty easy to grin at Ben’s words though, “Oh we’ll see about that.” he winked, by habit, that was the sort of body language that would likely be lost on Ben, but it was no reason not to do it. He picked up Hercules properly this time, the puppy getting distracted with providing an even coat of saliva all over Stiles’ face, “Well, I’m going to get this little guy home now. He’s kind of like a Time Share puppy. Chat again later?”
A smirk toyed at Ben's lips at what sounded like a threat from Stiles. He wasn't sure if he should be worried or not, but the grin in his voice was reassuring...he thought. He laughed a little when he could hear Hercules and he nodded. "Yeah. At an appropriate time." He reminded him.

txt: Thanks:) I try! I’ve never quite gotten that response before, but:)
txt: Yep! They’re very nice people, I swear!
Text: You're welcome. People who have nothing nice to say about you aren't worth you time :-)
Text: It's not that...

Text: Oh good! Well, people sometimes find me overbearing and energetic…

"That——would be bad, yes, of course." Right, Stiles would make an effort to restrain himself. Plus, he usually only got like that (text-flood people at ungodly hours) when he was in the Researching Zone. They’ll cross that bridge when they get there, he supposed.
Five contacts, though, and only one of them for socializing, “—-how do you usually hang out with people, if not by text?” Because seriously, maybe Stiles was just asking for something incredibly rarely done by Ben, which would seem like a hassle for the other guy.
Ben was reassured by Stiles's words, glad he would continue to sleep mostly peacefully. Though it seemed that even if the other male did end up doing something which upset him, Ben would find it hard to stay mad at him. He already couldn't keep the smile off his lips and they'd only been speaking for a vouyple minutes...or so. He hadn't checked the time.
Ben shrugged a little, he wasn't used to keeping friends. He'd had acquaintances before, people he spoke to who were in his class when he was in college when he wanted to know about an assignment, but now he didn't really have any use for having them. Maybe today was going to drastically change that, he wasn't sure. "I don't really - hang out with people. But we have mutual interests so I'm going to keep you till you get sick of me." He was surprised at how easy it was for him to say those words, huffing out a soft laugh afterwards.

Closed || Ben and Allison
Allison had been in work for a few hours, just looking at the clock and watching the hours tick by. While normally she’d be out on the streets, she’d offered to switch with a colleague for the shift, a little paranoid about getting knocked around too much, and anything happening to the baby. It wasn’t the reasoning she gave Erica or her colleague, claiming to them she just had paperwork to catch up on.
Just as she was about to head out on her lunch, she spotted a man coming into the building, and she moved over to him, cautiously, seeing him a little on edge. “Sir, you’re at the police station, is everything okay?”
Ben folded his cane and held it in his hand, hovering just inside the building. He heard someone approach and tensed until he heard her voice, her tone and her words calming him a little. So, he was in the right place then.
At her question, he shook his head, turning to face her direction. "I don't - no. I was - er - my bag was stolen." He couldn't form full sentences just yet, and his hands trembled, his cane dropping to the floor. He took a deep breath and bent down to pick it up, his hand moving over the floor till he found it and stood once. "It has my - all my things in it."

Text: Okay, awesome! Something Marvel themed maybe. I mean definitely, but I don’t want to scare you away…
Text: I hope he was nice, he can be a dick sometimes
Text: I love Marvel films ...Scare me away? How?
Text: He's...not boring, I'll give him that.

Stiles watched what Ben did with his cellphone with interest - he’d imagined there’d be some audio functions involved, but he didn’t know how often Ben had to use such things either. It didn’t sound like he used his phone much at all. Stiles rattled off his own cellphone number, while creating a new contact for Ben as well.
"Let’s see——B-e-n——ohh you’re wise not to say polite things like ‘feel free to text any time’ to me, because I tend to destroy lives when given that kind of freedom." Stiles paused, "In, like, a friendly way." he added hurriedly.
Ben typed the number into his phone, hearing the digits repeated back to him for verification, then he set the name to "Stiles." And saved it, his finger hovering over the screen before he heard "Save Contact" and double tapped the icon. Now he had five phone contacts, the others related to work, healthcare and the local pizza place.
He shrugged at Stiles's words. "As long as it's not in the middle of the night because you found something amusing. I value my sleep." And he was a bit of an asshole when he was put in a bad mood.

Text: Just wondering. I’m going to a friends house for dinner maybe a movie and some games later, thought you might want to join me?
Text: Oh, his name is Isaac by the way. he says he knows you….
Text: Er, sure...depends on what movie it is.
Text: We met a few times, yeah.

"Wade——are you serious!!"
"Okay, did you just admit to being a Marvel fan, because we have to go to Anime Con with our dogs in cosplay sometimes, oh my god!” This guy was officially awesome! Stiles gave the guy——Ben’s—-arm a friendly whack, before remembering to reign it back in a little. Hercules barked as though to command attention, which had Stiles bending down and picking Hercules’ front paws up. “Ah—-my given name is pretty much unpronounceable, so all my friends call me Stiles… But yeah! This is awesome, man! We totally need to hang out again sometimes, with Wade too! Do you text much? I could text you next time we have a geek-out marathon night?”
Ben was caught pleasantly caught off guard, it was nice to find someone who shared his interests. He'd heard a lot about the different conventions, but it would be no fun going alone. His smile widened at Stiles's enthusiasm, the soft whack on his arm surprisingly not making him flinch.
"Er - I don't really have anyone to text at the moment - but I do have a phone..." He pat his pocket before he pulled out his phone, his earphones wrapped around it. "There's a contact list on there somewhere." He tucked his cane under his armpit and unwrapped the earphones, putting one in and unlocking his phone. He'd pretty much memorised the layout of his apps and found his contact list soon enough, though he kept the voiceover on just in case.
