the post abt fictionfolk who are entirely their kins and not separate from them helped me a lot! ive only just started rlly figuring out who i am, but for a while i thought id need to have like. Real/Kin Identity, Human Identity, and Masking from the Autism Identity. Now i can just limit it to Real/Kin and Masking and thats so freeing tbh

Not identify with, but you are a fictional character. For example, I'm Hatsune Miku - I don't "relate to her" or "identify with/as her", I just am her!
Shoutout to fictionfolk who have done bad things in their source and are trying to make up for those things. It's entirely understandable to feel bad for things you did and want to make things right again, and I wish you all the best of luck in making amends and being better, you absolutely can do it no matter what you did wrong.
Is there any chance you could do some positivity for fictionfolk who are trying to make amends for what they did in their source/canon? Been feeling really bad lately about some stuff, and I don't see a lot of talk about that kind of thing.

Never let anyone tell you that you don't act like the character you are. Just because you were portrayed differently in canon or have changed since then doesn't mean you're "faking" or "confused". You're still whoever you say you are even if you "don't seem like" them.
Fictionfolk, don't ever feel discouraged from transitioning. Buy a wig/hair dye, buy contancts, paint freckles/scars/etc on yourself, buy outfits you wore canonically, buy animal ears/tails/wings/paws/etc that you have, do whatever you want to make you feel more like yourself. Don't let anyone tell you that it's "cringe" or "weird" - feeling more comfortable with yourself is never "cringe".
Shoutout to fictionfolk who have posters, figurines, dolls, or any other merch of themselves! It's not self-centered at all, plenty of people have pictures of themselves, it's no different to own posters or plushies or anything like that.
Shoutout to fictionfolk whose gender is related to the character they are. Plenty of people have genders that are "just me" or "myself", or have genders that relate to things they associate with themselves, fictionfolk aren't any different.
Fictionfolk who are more than one person are amazing. You're still perfect valid and great no matter how many characters you are, whether it's 2, 20, 200, or more! Even if the characters are completely different, you're still valid.
Exotrauma is very real trauma. Your brain doesn't differentiate between exotrauma and any other trauma. Fictionfolk with trauma of any kind are valid and not "exaggerating" or "overreacting" at all, whether it's exotrauma or not. Those with trauma disorders (such as PTSD) from exotrauma aren't lying or faking at all, you're just as valid as anyone else with a trauma disorder. Don't let anyone invalidate your experiences, only you can decide how you feel.
No fictionfolk is inherently a bad person, even if you did something bad in the past (or the media you're in portrays it that way). Doing bad things in the past doesn't make you a bad person, and just because you were portrayed as doing something in media doesn't automatically mean you actually did that. You're not a bad person because of your fictionfolk identity, no matter what people think you did.

Shoutout to fictionfolk from books you've never read, media you've never watched, etc. You aren't any less valid than fictionfolk who are active in their fandoms or who have read/watched/etc their media a million times over.
Fictionfolk who are only sometimes fictionfolk are no less valid than fictionfolk who are fictionfolk 24/7. Like with every other fluctuating or fluid identity, you are what you say you are at that moment, even if that wasn't true earlier or won't be true in the future! Some people are asexual sometimes but allosexual other times, some people are female sometimes but not female other times, and some people are fictionfolk sometimes but not fictionfolk other times. No matter how often you're fictionfolk, whether that's rarely or all the time, you're still a valid and real part of the community and deserve just as much respect as everyone else!
How to tell if someone is really fictionfolk or is lying:
Ask if they're fictionfolk
If they say yes, they are, if they say no, they aren't
That's all!
