I think I've fully resigned myself to the life of a single dad. Last time I let someone come into our lives it turned out to be a huge mistake.

Maybe I'll just retire from work and just be a stay at home dad. Just Emiko and Dad.

Rem rocked his neck from side to side, letting out a low groan when it gave a satisfying pop. He had been asleep so long his body was protesting all the movement, his bones cracking as he stretched some more with a lazy yawn. People were stopping to look at him, he knew, he didn’t really care all that much about it though. He knew he was a bit of a sight, his dark hair freshly shaved on the one side while the other had been curled and styled to hang over his face, obscuring it slightly. He was even wearing makeup again, black lipstick and nail polish to match. He wondered if people in Shibuya would remember him. Remember the club. It had been so long, close to a year or maybe even more than that, he couldnt quite remember the time anymore as it all just seemed to pass in a blur while he had slept a dreamless sleep.

He took one last look at the club he used to run and put his keys in his inner vest pocket for safe keeping. Maybe one day he would return, but with the grief of loss still weighing heavily on his mind now was not the time. No, he simply gave the building a nod of apprecitation for the opportunities that it had brought him and turned his back to walk into the crowd, looking for any familiar faces he could seek comfort in or a liquor store.
