i'm usually squeamish about headcanoning certain characters to adopt their partner's surname if they ever were to unite in the eyes of the law, as that is mostly enforced upon the women characters, but i am emma blackthorn's biggest supporter. she would finally, to the clave, be part of the blackthorn's family. she helped julian raise his siblings, she was raised among them too. as much as she loves her parents, she is most definitely more attached and more chained to the blackthorns than the carstairs

so i wasn't wrong, there WAS malakaiamerie renaissance (even if not long) and the whole evidences how malakai is so in love with amerie (he wrote her the most devastating letter!!! which too bad she did not know about). amerie is in love with him. i am ready for our last season with them actually getting back together the last time for good for forever!!! no "in a nursing home" bs, please 😭
