Today's bug thing is this cicada tattoo by wild.isley.tattoo!
Katydids are pretty cool.
Please note the dark oval spot just below the “knee” joint on the front leg! That’s the tympanum or tympanal organ, the organ katydids use to hear! Gotta hear those lovely mating calls.
